"Are you fucking kidding me?" Ryan moaned.
"I don't feel like running." I complained quietly to him.
"What if we just beat him down and run?" I asked.
"He does seem a bit drunk...or we can just turn around and run."
"Yeah..let's run then." I sighed.
My dad just stood there with his knife pointed at us. Why wasn't he attacking? Is he mentally ill? I sure hoped so.
Me and Ryan just slowly started to walk towards the light and then we ran until we reached his house. His parents were shouting at each other saying some things that I couldn't hear properly.
"Lets just go upstairs." he whispered quietly.
"Okay." I agreed.
As soon as we reached his room he collapsed on his bed.
"I'm tired. I wanna sleep." He whispered.
"Then sleep." I laughed.
"I will, but first come here." he patted the space beside him.
I sat down next to him.
"Whats the matter?" I asked.
"I want you to sleep with me." he said.
"Don't you think this is a bit too...soon?" I said pretending to be surprised.
"You know what I mean!" He laughed.
I went and laid down beside him.
"What are we going to do about my dad?" I asked.
"I don't know..." He replied after a while.
"Do you think we should like...tell the cops?"
"Well we could but what if they don't believe us? Then he'll be extra eager to destroy our lives."
"I suppose." I said yawning.
"Goodnight Hailey."
"Goodnight Ryan."
