"Hello Hailey." My dad smirked sadistically at me.
"D-dad? What are you doing here?" I stuttered.
"Just wanted to say hi." he whispered. As he talked his eyes went back into his head and instead spiders started crawling out. His mouth turned into a black hole as if he was gonna swallow me. I screamed at the top of my lungs. I was scared out of my mind. Once I started screaming I couldn't stop.

"Hailey? Hailey wake up!" Ryan yelled shaking me.
"What? What happened!?" I asked scared.
"You were screaming. I think you just had a nightmare"
"You think?" I questioned as I wiped my forehead. It was covered in sweat. It was disgusting.
"Are you okay?" He asked nervously.
"I'm fine Ryan" I smiled weakly at him. He smiled back and hugged me. He was always so sweet.
"What was your nightmare about?" He asked.
I hesitated. Did I want to worry him? Oh fuck it. "My dad."
"I think we should run away." he sighed.
"Now?"
"Yeah."
"But..but where?"
"I don't know another state maybe? We can't stay here anymore."
I pondered this for a moment.
"Alright. I think you're right." I sighed.
"Where should we go?" He asked.
"New York. My aunt lives there and she's amazing. She'll definitely take us in" I suggested.
"Sounds good" He grinned.
