Seventeen

Hyeri's POV

We finished the training for today. Actually, they have finished the training for today. I didn't do much other than sitting and watching them with their cool powers.

Mr. Shin who came out from his house with a tray full of glasses filled with water. I quickly went to him and helped him as he thanked me. Mr. Shin then called the others to stop and gather up.

They sat on the field while panting while I passed the glasses to them when Mr. Shin started to talk " It's your first day so I won't push you guys for today. Have some water "

" Kamsahamnida Mr. Shin " Min Na said and the others followed her with smiles eventhough their were too tired right now.

" Don't forget about tomorrow. We still have a long way to go. Especially you. " Mr. Shin patted my shoulder.

Mr. Shin said we were done. We decided to have lunch at the town that we were supposed to look for. It wasn't that far so we arrived to the town in only 5 minutes.

" Let's eat there " Chaerin dragged Min Na that resulted everyone else to follow. It was a ddeobokki shop. There isn't many people since it was 3 already. We sat in different tables. One large table for the girls and one with all the boys.

I looked around the shop. It wasn't that big but it was sure comfy. The kitchen can also be seen through. I saw an old woman who was busy preparing  with some things until a hand was snapped in front of me.

" Yah, what do you want to drink? " Chaerin asked as the others were looking at something that was beside me since I was sitting at the most end. I looked up only to see a young man that seems like he was around our age. And he also has a poker face.

" Just...plain water " I said as he jotted down and went back to the kitchen. My eyes followed his back as the others continued on a conversation.

" He is so charming " Chaerin said while looking at the boy earlier with a dazing look.

" Do you believe in love at first sight?I think I do eventhough he doesn't smile. " Eunmi also looked at the boy. I shook my head at the both of them. How can they fell in love with someone that they just met in a few seconds?

" Yah, don't even think about getting a boyfriend here. I'm guessing you guys can't stand with long distance relationship by the way you guys act. Your parents wouldn't like it " Nayoung warned and Dahyun nodded agreeing. 

Suddenly I felt my heart was in pain again. I don't know why but this hurt much more than the one in the morning. I put my hands on my chest trying to calm myself. I'm afraid that the girls will see me and be worried so I stood up to go to the toilet.

" Where are you going? " Dahyun asked as I mouthed the restroom and quickly went away.

" Excuse me halmeoni, is there a bathroom here that I can use? " I approached an old woman who was busy putting the drinks on a tray.

She smiled sweetly at me and pointed at the stair " You can use the bathroom at upstair "

I thanked her and went on the stairs. To my suprise, there wasn't only a bathroom, but it was a house! I politely opened my shoes and looked around. It is a house. There were a few doors and I believe some of it are bedrooms. I sat on the floor looking at some of the pictures that were framed on a table.

There's a picture of a young boy with a woman at a playground with such happy expressions. By looking at it carefully, I'm sure it was halmeoni and the boy just now. There is also a picture of the boy wearing a kindergaten graduate cloth while holding a certificate with a big smile.

" I wonder what made him loses his smile " I muttered when suddenly a voice suprised me.

" What are you doing here? "

It was the boy earlier still with bo expression.He reminded me of someone I know but now who cares about it, Hyeri? You've been caught by the house's owner. But it is not like I did something bad, right?

I quickly stood up and bowed at him " Mianei. I just wanted to use the restroom "

He just looked at me with a scary look. I bowed my head again and walked heading to the door. I stopped and turned to him.

" You should smile often you know " I smiled at him and went down leaving him. I passed by the kitchen and saw there was a hot ddeobokki that was ready to be serve on the counter. The old woman was still busy cooking and there was no one to serve. I decided to help so I asked her,

" Which table is it, halmeoni? "

She looked suprised " Don't do it! You're a customer " 

I shook my head and smiled picking up the ddeobokkis that were already on the tray " I am glad to help you. Beside, we are the only customers for now. I can do it "

" Aigoo. You are such a kind girl. Where did that punk go anyway? Aish that kid. You can send it to the boys there. I'm still making the girls food and it will be ready in a few seconds " the old woman pointed at the boys who were busy talking with themselves.

I nodded and went to the boys " Here you go "

" Hyeri? Are you working here now? " Namjoon asked looking at me weirdly as I just smiled.

" Looks like someone found a job " Yoongi teased as I just rolled my eyes at him and went back to the counter. Looks like our food are ready.

I put the ddeobokkis on the tray and carefully walked towards the girls. By the look on everyones face, I'm sure they are hungry that they can barely eat non-stop.

Suddenly the tray was grabbed from me as I looked up to see the boy was already serving the girls. I noticed that Dahyun was waving at me calling me to eat together. I walked to the table as the boy passed by me that was so close making our hands brushed.
He said something that only I can hear it,

" People won't smile when they have problems, Hyeri "
