Twenty-Three

Jimin's POV

" Be careful will you? "

I looked behind to see Taehyung grabbing on to Hyeri's wrist as she was looking down clearly not amused the way Taehyung scolded her. She must had nearly fallen but lucky Taehyung caught her.

We were splitted to search for the boy and here we are still in the same group like the first day.

I saw a necklace on the ground near Hyeri and quickly reached it passing to her " It must be yours "

She gave out her beautiful smile that I truly admired and then grabbed my wrist dragging me to walk away from Taehyung. I looked weirdly at her sudden action,

" Are you mad at him? "

" I wasn't trying to fall purposely. It's not even that I wanted him to saved me geez " She mumbled as I chuckled ruffling her head.

" He's mad since he's just worried about you " I boasted and saw her lips curving up into a smirk as she scoffed.

" Why would he? I still have you even if I fell just now to take care of me "

I felt my heart suddenly skipped a beat hearing her sayings. I didn't realized that I stopped my pace until she stood in front of me calling out my name.

" Yah, Jimin? "

" Huh? "

" What did you suddenly stopped? Is something wrong? " she looked at me concernly as I just smiled at her question.

If only she knew how much she affected me.

" Ani. I was just.. thinking of something. Kaja! " I lied and continued walking while grabbing her hand back.

Hyeri's POV

It has been an hour since we went out from the house searching for the boy. My pace became slower as I felt tired already from walking. Jimin did said he wanted to piggyback me but I rejected him politely as I saw a glare from Taehyung towards me signing me not to burden his best friend.

Here I am walking behind them like a snail.

" Walk faster can you?! " I heard someone shouted among the crowd but no one paid attention since we were in the market which was noisy. I was about to call the boys but they were way in front so I decided to follow the voice alone.

The voice I heard belongs to a man wearing a black shirt who was pushing someone in front of him that had his head covered with cloth with a metal rod as a few men that I believed it was his gang followed behind him.

I immediately followed them from their back while hiding among the crowd without getting suspect as the gang seemed very suspicious. They walked long enough and finally stopped in the middle of a forest that was not that far from the market just now. I took my place behind a tree that they can't see.

The man with the black shirt, that I was sure enough he was the leader pushed the boy who has his head covered to the ground hard. The boy can't do anything since his hand were tied at his back rathercthan struggling to save himself.

" Where is that necklace?! " The leader shouted as he kicked the as he remained quiet. One of his gang finally opened the cloth covering his head as I was truly suprised.

It is halmeoni's grandson who was missing.

" I will ask you for the 2nd time, where is that necklace?! " He started to slap the boy that was hard enough until his body fully fell on the ground as he still didn't answer him.

I started to boil up seeing his rude actions. He then smirked and pull up something from his pocket and point it towards the boy who looked weak already.

It was a freaking gun.

" I have no choice but to kill you today. Keeping you was not worth it since you just kept your tiny mouth shut the whole time. Guess being a lunatic is a disadvantage for a living, huh? " He smirked and started to pull the trigger as I had my eyes widen.

This cannot be.

I immediately ran towards the boy sliding him towards the side with me as a shot was released. The boy was shocked enough to see me as he bruised face clearly showed it,

" What are you doing here, Hyeri? Get out before they kill you too! "

" Well well look at here. Looks like your little girlfriend is trying to save you, huh? Sadly miss, you can't. " The leader said as he showed his infamous smirk that I hate the most right now.

" I won't go easy on you even if you're a girl. Boys, attack her! " He commanded as his gang is currently surrounding us making us the centre in a circle made by them.

" You're a lunatic, right? Just prove it! " I boasted at him as I tried to help him stand.

" But I can-- " one of the gangster started to run towards me and suddenly he was threwn back. I turned my head to the boy.

" Did you- "

" Woohyun "

" Huh? "

" My name is Woohyun. "

They started to run towards us together and suprisingly,

My hand suddenly let out ice that made me really amazed.

I was so engrossed in shooting those bad guys with my sudden power until I felt someone hugged me from my back before shrieking in pain.

Woohyun.

He was shielding me when one of the man approached me with a stick ready to knock me out.

" Gwenchanayo? " I felt my eyes widen as he was still receiving those beats. I cannot do anything as Woohyun was holding tight the both of my hand.

" Don't let them know you are lunatic. Please. I'm begging you " He said as he showed a pain expression while still hugging me as I was dumbfounded.

Why?

We were really in a state of losing as those men were making in a circle again leaving us at the centre. Woohyun was getting weaker from the beats as I obeyed his words to not use my power anymore.

" Ahh!! " Suddenly the leader shouted as he fell down on his knee. I looked up to see the girls with the bangtan boys surrounding the gang. It was Taehyung who shot fire near the leader's feet.

" Don't lay any finger on them or you'll get hurt " Min Na burst out an ice shot to the one of the men's leg making them all shocked and backed off slowly from us.

At last, the police arrived and arrested all of the gang including the leader. They were brought to the police station as the boys went to make a report about Woohyun's case.

" Aish "

I turned back and widen my eyes seeing Woohyun still pain who was sitting on a bench alone outside the police station as everyone else was busy handling those men. He did received the beatings for me a while ago.

I sat beside him and saw some blood on his shirt at the back. I sighed and sat beside him " Why did you do that? "
Woohyun looked at me and gave a weak smile " I can't just let those people hurt you like they awfully did to me "

I teared up a bit seeing his face filled with bruises that probably he got from those men.

He was only kidnapped for a day and yet he was treated so bad.

" Yah, don't cry. It doesn't hurt that much geez " His eyes widen seeing a tear finally escaped from my eyes.

How can I possibly not cry?

Someone got hurt just because of me.

" Mianei Woohyun-ah. I was just trying to save you but turns out I made it worsen " I looked at him as he patted my head reassuring me.

" Ani. You did found me at last, right? And here I am still alive.
