Twenty-Two

Hyeri's POV

We finally decided to bring along halmeoni to our house as she is still in a danger state. Those people might do another attack so we took a precaution.

After we ate dinner, me and Min Na managed to make halmeoni sleep in peace as she was too worried about her granchild. We went downstairs where the others just started the discussion about today's case.

" Is halmeoni asleep? " Eunmi asked concernly while Min Na nodded and sat beside her as I took a sit beside Jimin.

" So what are we going to do now? " Namjoon asked.

Where can that boy go with those men?

" Hyeri? "

I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and it was Jimin's.

" Huh? "

" Do you have any plans? " Eunmi questioned. I took a deep breath and pressed my lips forming a smile,

" Ani. But I'll guarantee we will find him in any minute as long as we work together "

They all nodded as I continued whilst sighing, " Besides, I'm the one that made a promise with halmeoni and promises are meant to be kept "

Min Na's POV

In the end, we decided to search for the boy splitting into a few groups around the town. I forced them to go to sleep since it might be a long day tomorrow.

I was heading to the kitchen to drink a glass of water when suddenly I saw Hyeri is still sitting on the sofa while spacing out.

There must be something on her mind.

I was just about to approach her but then Jimin came out from his room and sat beside her. Little did I know, I let out a smile looking at them.

Looks like someone besides us is taking a good care of her, girls.

" Why are you smiling here alone? "
A voice suddenly asked making me startled for a while.

I turned around and saw Yoongi looking weirdly at me. I rolled my eyes at him,

" Can't you just disturb me another day? "

" When did I disturb you? " he questioned back as I clicked my tongue in annoyance,

" Breathing in the same air as you is one of it if you wanna know "

I turned back heading to the kitchen until he grabbed my wrist and pinned me at the nearest wall making my eyes widen. Our faces were only inches making me feel his breathing. His eyes met mine as he smirked and said,

" Well Miss, I find it is lucky to be breathing in the same air as you especially in this distance "

Jimin's POV

I wanted to go to Taehyung's room for a while but then I saw Hyeri is still sitting on the sofa when everyone else has already went to bed.

I smiled unknowingly while walking towards her. Seems like she is spacing out since she didn't bother a bit about my presence beside her now.

" Why aren't you in your room yet? " I pinched her cheeks as she yelp in pain.

" It hurts! " She rubbed her cheeks while looking at me as I chuckled.

" It's just that you seem a bit distracted lately. Is there any problem that you wanna share? "

I pulled her hand as I carressed the place where I pinched and noticed she flinced a bit with my action.
