We got to the neighbors house within a few minutes. I unbuckled Cooper after pulling my compact out to check my makeup and adjust my loose spiked collar. I got out and dusted my low key black dress and scarf off. Cooper ran around the car and crashed into my stomach with a hug.
"Oh god..!"
I squeezed out and looked at my dad. He laughed and wrapped his arm around Bree's shoulders then started walking towards the entrance. I unlatched my brother and got down to his height.
"Hey, today I'm gonna have to babysit you and the new neighbors kid."
I stated flatly, he thought for a moment and nodded.
"Okay!"
He exclaimed, I smiled and ran with him to the castle. Once we got there, we already saw our parents neck deep in a conversations with our neighbor's, the Thompson family. They hailed from San Diego. There was Bob Thompson, a man with graying hair. He was tall, at least compared to my five foot tall height, he had fairly tan skin. He seemed to care a bit too much about his job. Dotty Thompson was a different story all together. She had short blond hair in a bob like style. She was cheerful and bright, caring about her son.then last but not least was Tony Thompson. He was kind of... different... To say the least. He met my brother but he was string at me. I cocked an eyebrow and pulled my compact out.
My makeup maybe?
Nope.
I looked back at him and he gripped his dad's leg, staring at me with wide eyes. I crossed my arms and Cooper took his arm.
"Hey, Tony! This is my sister!"
He dragged Tony over and pointed at me.
"She's cool!"
"I-is she a..vampire..?"
He whispered, I smirked and looked down at him.
"Well... Do I look like one..?"
I looked over and the sun was setting, I hummed and looked back at him with my hands on my hips.
"Well. I have to watch you tonight while your parents go out with mine."
I said blankly, he smiled widely and nodded profusely.
"I know, mom told me! I think you'd like my friend! I can't wait for you to meet him!"
I looked confused and cocked an eyebrow.
"Huh?"
I hummed out, he smiled ear to ear and shook his head.
"You'll see!"
He replied, I smiled and nodded rolling my eyes softly. After awhile of talking, I learned all three of us had an infatuation with vampires and other monsters. Tony was in love with the idea of vampires, Cooper loved vampires and zombies while I love everything from vampires to doppelgängers. About an hour later, both of our parents left for a fancy party at their new job but not before leaving us at our house. My father and Tony's father worked at the same place, the MacAshton's. I'd never met the man himself but he sounded like a real business man. After they left for their party, I made the two boys the left overs that Dotty brought for us. I may or may not have sneaked them both a chocolate chip cookie on the side. After eating I flipped on some TV, BBC was my favorite channel. Tonight's special was Sherlock. I squeaked in joy and clapped. After some TV, I sent the boys to Cooper's room. I went into my room and started unpacking some boxes. I started listening to my favorite music, ranging from Marilyn Manson to Hollywood Undead, while unpacking a box of clothes. After that, I started to unpack my makeup.
Flap, flap
I turned to face my window, I dropped the bag I had been holding.
There was a boy with spiky short black hair. He was dressed like someone in one of Shakespeare's plays. He was standing on the balcony, my black and white thin curtains flowed in the wind. His silhouette was taller than me, not by much though. I backed up and shivered, there was a draft racking through the room. He slowly approached me, my breathing started to speed up. I opened my mouth to scream, but he launched himself at me.
"Hush, mortal. Please. I am Rudolph Sackville-Bagg. I am a friend of Tony Thompson's. He is staying here tonight, is he not?"
He said clearly, I shook and nodded. He was holding my back gently and carefully, not to hurt me. He had a hand cupped over my mouth. I nodded to him and he slowly let go of me.
"Now, let's fix that first greeting."
He smiled kindly and got down on one knee.
"Hello, miss. I am Rudolph Sackville-Bagg. It's more than a pleasure to meet your acquaintance."
He gently took my hand and kissed it respectfully. I smiled and bowed my head, curtsying politely.
"Hello, Rudolph. I'm Mysie Foster, a descendent of the Mackintosh Clan. It's a huge pleasure to meet you."
I was still worried, but I still had my polite nature about me. Besides, he seemed sweet.
"I seem to have come through the wrong window. Can you point me to Tony's room?"
I nodded and walked him out of the room and down the hall to Cooper's room. I peeked in to see them asleep on the bed, it was really cute. I lead Rudolph to them, then we shook them awake. Cooper and Tony slowly opened their eyes and Tony reached for his glasses.
"Rudolph! I knew you would come back!"
Tony gushed at the slightly older vampire. Rudolph smiled and bowed his head.
"I apologize, friend. But I'm only here on business. I must know what this is."
He pulled out a folded slip of paper, unfolding it revealed a drawing of a glowing pendent or amulet.
"My drawing? You can have it."
Tony said sounding uninterested, Rudolph shook his head.
"Where have you seen it?"
Rudolph asked seriously, but Tony's face displayed playfulness.
"Why do you wanna know?"
Tony replied cheekily, I gave him a look of disappointment.
"It's very important."
Rudolph continued on.
"I'll only tell you if you take me flying again."
Tony said with a big smile that stretched ear to ear.
Only two words rang in my head.'Oh no...'
