Chapter 1.
Where the heck is Carly? I thought to myself, annoyed as I checked my phone.
1 missed call
2 messages from: Carly
Carly: Hey Autumn ;) going shopping before the party :P
Carly: oh, and I might be late for planning :) k?
Oh, that girl...
She was supposed to be here at 3:00, what time is it? I checked my phone.
4:32
An hour and a-half late. Typical Carly. I messaged her back.
Autumn: When will u b bac?
Carly: In a few min.
Autumn: kk, who did u invite?
Carly: u shall see when the party starts ;)
She probably invited over some random people I don't even know. She always does that when I have a party. I walk onto the back porch, looking over the grand Pacific Ocean, only a small run across the beach to get to the nice, cool refreshing water. I look up at my gigantic house. My dad bought it a few years ago, when we moved here from Alaska. He told my brother and I that we needed more " heat".
I forgot that my party started at 8, and that's just enough time for a girl to get ready, lets see, I gotta take a shower, do my hair, make-up, jewelry, shoes, dress....
I'll go swimming later. Now's the time for fashion.
I ran upstairs, and got to my master bed room. I took of my sweat pants and my t-shirt. Took of my glasses and took down my bun, and got into a nice shower robe.
I turned the water up, and waited for it to heat up while I threw my dirty clothes in the basket. I stepped in the warm, soothing shower, and let the water run through my brown hair with blonde high lights. I got my " Island Breeze" shampoo container, and squirted some on my hand.
Next thing I knew, I was dried off in my robe with my hair all wrapped up in a white towel.
I sat down, where I like to call my " make-up mirror". I applied on some mascara, and some blush. I put on some brown eye shadow and put on my lip gloss.
Next I blow dried my hair, and put some spray on conditioner in it. I played with it a while, and got a nice and wavy style. Hey that rhymed.
Next I got up, and gracefully skipped to my dress up wardrobe. I opened both of the doors at the same time, and slid my fingers through the fancy shirts, dresses, and pants.
I chose a dark blue long ruffled shirt, with a black strap where my waste was. For my pants, I chose black leggings, to go with the black strap and the ruffles. And I love that blue and black go together nicely.
I flashed open my jewelry box. Carefully deciding on what necklace I should wear, and what bracelet. I chose a nice silver heart locket that my ex-boyfriend Matt gave me. I wore a lucky charm bracelet that Carly gave me for my birthday.
I put on some nice black heels, and ventured back downstairs. I looked around me. Carly isn't here yet. Suddenly the front door burst open. Carly ran in, her arms were filled with shopping bags, her sweaty light olive skin, and messy blonde hair gave the fact away that she ran around non stop today just for my party.
Carly was wearing a pink dress and white heels. She had her hair up in a bun with a black bow attached to it. " No need to fear! Carly is here!" She screamed out. She put down the bags on a chair while looking at me, smiling. " You'll never guess who I ran into, and asked me out" she sounded so excited. Must be someone important.
" Jack Felbridge! AAHHH!!!" Carly screeched. I rolled my eyes. Jack Felbridge is a football player. He's gone out with so many girls, and it looks like Carly is his next victim.
" Doesn't he cheat on like, every girl he meets?" I asked Carly. " Okay, Autumn, I don't think he'll cheat on me, I really felt something when I asked- I mean, he asked me out"
" That's exactly what I felt with Matt, something, and guess where we ended up?" I replied to her statement. " I know, you guys broke up"
" Please don't talk about it, it always hurts me when someone brings it up"
" I know Carly, aww man, maybe I shouldn't have Uuhh..." Carly looked suspicious when we brought up Matt. " What Carly?" I asked. " I may have invited Matt to the party..."
She did what now?
Did I hear her correctly?
She invited my ex boyfriend to the party?!
I looked at her, angry as I could be. " You invited Matt to the party, MATT?"
" I'm so, so, so so so sorry" She begged for my forgiveness. " I just thought maybe... If you two talked again, you could get back together"
She was wrong, no way Matt and I will ever get back together. I don't want to get back together.
And he doesn't either.
" Whatever" I rolled my eyes. " We broke up, and why are we worrying about Matt when we have a party to plan?"
I fast walked to the living room, where the decorations were already set up, outside, those stand up torch things were up. I placed punch, soda, chips, and other things on the food table.
Now, it was time for the guests to arrive.
