Chapter 5.
I got a red dress and black high heels from my closet, and a silver necklace from my jewelry box. I thought I looked good in it. I wanted to make it as real as possible.
But I still can't believe he said yes, and he wants to kiss me for two minutes. I mean, if he wanted to kiss me, why didn't he just do it and not act like such a jerk.
Seriously... I really just don't understand some people.
I heard a knock at the door. I opened it and saw Campbell wearing a nice white button up t-shirt, and dark blue jeans. He looked so handsome, I almost felt bad that I was doing this. He grinned at me, I saw excitement in his eyes.
I'm not sure if that's good, or bad.
He looked down, then back up at me. " You look good, ice cream girl" He smiled beautifully. Probably how he got all the girls. His smile was just irresistible.
Step one, check. Step two, in process. This is going pretty well.
I stepped into his car. It was just a plain, normal truck. Nothing expensive like a mustangs or a Lamborghini. There was a picture of a little girl in his cup holder. Campbell stepped into the car. " Who's that?" I asked him. Campbell looked at the picture. " My sister" He simply replied.
He looked at me at few times like I was weird, enough to call me something unpleasant. I felt uncomfortable, so I rolled down a window and stuck my head out. Campbell pulled my back into the seat. " Whoa whoa whoa, didn't your parents ever tell you to sit properly and put your seat belt on? God Aut, think about safety" He rolled his eyes and shook his held slightly. " Since when did you care about my safety? I bet you would love it if I flew right out that damn window and broke all of my bones" I replied sternly.
He said nothing. He probably doesn't even care! Wow, how rude. I was so lost in thought, I didn't even notice that he stopped the friggin car. I realized what was happening and I questioned him " Cam... What is-" He quickly leaned in a kissed me. My eyes widened. I guess I should have been expecting it, he did tell me he wanted a kiss.
He pulled away. " Sorry Autumn..." His soft voice made me calm. It becomes silent. Don't fall for him don't fall for him... But I need to make this look as real as possible. I don't decide to return it. " Let's go"
When we got there, I really had no idea what THERE was. Then I saw it. I gasped.
It was a huge lit up building, and the people inside were wearing very fancy designer dresses, tuxes, and jewelry. The food was very gourmet and everyone just seemed... Perfect. Campbell led me to a tall man with a gray tux on and a long beard. He had a name tag on that said " Jameson Darwin". " Hey Jimmy, this is my gir- I mean, friend, Autumn" He introduced me to Jameson. He held out his hand, making his sleeve slide down a little, revealing a tattoo of a tulip.
Why a tulip? I must have said that out loud, because he answered. " My wife's favorite flower is a tulip" Jameson smiled. I nodded.
Campbell brought me to a deserted balcony at the top of the building. The balcony part was, there was still people inside three feet away. " I really wanted to bring you here for this, you can see all of San Francisco from here" He muttered.
I went to go get us some punch, where I bumped into a guy my age. His light blue eyes glisten, almost like Ally's. Then I recognized him.
My old pal Brett. I placed my hands on my hips. " Well, well, well, if it isn't little boy Betrayer, where's your brother Chris, and Mr. and Mrs. Betrayer?" He knew who I was talking about.
" Look Autumn, I'm sorry for stabbing you in the back, you were a good friend to me bu-" I cut him off. " Oh stop Brett, stop acting so innocent" I saw it in his eyes. He didn't care. He didn't give a damn about how I felt. I stormed away, knowing he was going to follow, but I didn't care.
Then I walked into something terrible and plan ruining.
I walked into Campbell making out with some other girl.
