Chapter 4 – Five Noises
It started with five noises. The beep of my cell phone, a scream, two gunshots, another scream, and sirens. Actually a lot of sirens. I checked my phone, worried about what I would read.
‘Dear Alex,
Yeah, it's me Ashleigh. I understand why you don't like me. I am a nerd, who isn't the cutest boy. I just can't take it anymore. The name calling, the bullying, and just the plain old meanness. I just need to get away from it.

I instantly new what had happened and the importance of the text I had just received. I had a suicide note in my hand. ‘Okay,’ I thought. ‘That explains a little.’
Terrified, I ran over to the playground, where I was going to meet Ashleigh. There on the ground was Ashleigh. About five cops were standing over him. A puddle of blood surrounded his motionless body, probably staining the pavement. I couldn't stand to see him like that. I ran home.
