A boy sat at the corner of a crowded classroom. He looked around nervously. Everyone around him was laughing and was in conversation, he was not. A young girl walked up to him.
"Which part of the presentation are you doing?" she asked.
"The conclusion," he replied.
He pulled out his phone, it had a slick blue case with a circular design on the backside. He stared down at the article, Russia attacks.
The girl bent over to see. "What's that?"
"The United States had just declared war on Russia and they made the first move."
"We just won the Battle of the Americas! Does the government really think we can survive another war?"
"Not sure."
A thumping noise drew her attention away from the phone. She looked up and locked eyes with a man. He wore a slim white coat with a strange symbol on his arm. The man stepped forwards; everyone in the class looked at him. He was not there a couple of seconds ago and he did not enter the room.
He approached the girl. "Jasmine of reality 15A92-663P, I am a representative of the Trans-Dimensional Federation. I have come to ask you questions of your Earth."
She looked from side to side, the class stared at her with intent eyes. "What questions?"
"Do you think that your Earth is ready to be entered into the Federation?"
She straightened her back and took a deep breath. "No. My Earth has shone little to no consideration for other human life, and has been at war with itself for the past three-hundred years."
He pulled out a small notepad and wrote her statement down. "Do you feel it necessary for you to be extracted from your reality?"
She looked at her classmates, their eyes filled with confusion. "Yes. I feel like I should be removed."
He scribbled down more notes. "Alright. I'll take you right now."
She quickly walked to his side and took his hand. He pulled a small device from his pocket. It resembled a keypad. He typed in a long code. The door to the classroom burst open. A tall thin creature lunged at them. He activated it, the two vanished in an instant.
A swirl of sandy colors enveloped the creature. A moment later, a young woman stood in its place.
"Damn. Almost had them."
