Christmas and New Years

As you said you would, you called sollux to make sure he was okay. As much as you hated to admit, you still cared about him.

You talked with him for a long time. Listening to the story of how feferi found out about you and his "one night stand", told him to kill himself and left in a crying fit. Apparently he forgot to put your bra back on. Fucking dumbass. Then he said how sorry he was, how he never meant to hurt you and how everyone has basically abandoned him. Karkat cant even find time for him anymore, he's involved with his new girlfriend terezi, and school.

"Sollux I shouldn't even be talking to you" I shouldn't even feel bad for you but I do' you think to yourself.

"I know okay, I dont know how many times I can tell you I'm sorry. I don't know how to make it up to you" silence. You don't say anything after he says that. "AA are you still there?"

"Yes, but I think I should go. Its almost 9 and I'm already getting tired"

"Okay" he sighs "can I call you if I need anything?"

"If you really REALLY need me then yes. Goodnight sollux."

"Goodnight AA" you hear a beep, and he was gone.

You lay in your bed and thought about Sollux, then thought about Eridan. Comparing them gave you a major headache and you decided to go to sleep.

The next morning you woke up at around 7am. You sorta hated the fact that all those years of waking up for school made it so you have trouble sleeping in. Wait... What day is it?
you look at your phone and read 'Friday, December 16th' Oh no, christmas is next week and I haven't even started shopping.

You lay there for a few more minutes before you decided to get out of bed and throw on some clothes to go Christmas shopping today. Maybe Eridan will want to come with you? so you text him.

'ERIBABE WAKE UP' you send it. he's probably still asleep so you do your hair and makeup while you wait. after that's done you go downstairs and make some toast and cereal for breakfast. you felt your pocket buzz.

'why are you up so early?? and why do you keep calling me that :|'

'Cause it's cute, and i have trouble sleeping in. I was wondering if you wanted to go Christmas shopping with me today?' you wait for a response again and it comes in almost instantly.

'Sure, iv been needing to go actually. Let me get dressed. Do you want me to pick you up?'

'Sure!!! I live in the Peach forest luxury apartment complex building, just text me when your outside and i'll come meet you :D'

'Oooooo Luxury ;0 must be a nice place' you could literally hear his mocking tone and you giggled.

'Its not as "Luxurious" as it sounds, trust me o_o'

'Ur silly. Ill be there in 10 minutes'

You grabbed your purse and set it by the door so it was ready to grab when he'd text you. Your not sure why but you were nervous about today. Maybe you really were starting to have deeper feelings for eridan.

  after a couple minutes your phone buzzed.

   'Here!' it read. You grabbed your purse and ran out the door, locking it behind you, then ran down the hallway to the door that leads to the parking lot of the building. You just remembered that you had no idea what kind of car he drives. You pulled out your phone to text him again.

  'What car are you in?'

   'Look up you dork'

   You look up and Eridan is standing right behind an open door to an expensive looking matte black car. 'wtf' you thought. Maybe he was borrowing it or something?

"You ready ara?" he said with a smile.

"Yes, I am" you walked around to the passengers side and slid into the seat closing the door and setting your purse on your lap. "Thank you for driving us" you said looking over at him. He looked at you and smiled.

"No problem." he said as you started to head for the Dearborn shopping center.

It was really warm, and his car smelled of his cologne and you couldn't help but close your eyes. You loved this smell.

It made you feel warm and at home.

   Once the shopping was over with, you both walked out and put your bags in his trunk. It was dark already and the streets were layered in Christmas lights that lit up the night sky and reflected off the clouds. Snow was falling as well, the small flakes getting caught in yours and eridans hair as you stood together in the cold parking lot. The air was light, and lovely, everything was hazy. It felt like a dream.

   You snapped back to your senses when you noticed you were staring at eridan, and he was staring back. Both of you said nothing and just...looked at eachother. You never noticed how much you actually liked him and enjoyed having him around. Everything has gone by so fast, and he's become your closest friend in a matter of a month and a half.

   You felt more for him than just friendship however, you wanted more from him.

   You were snapped to your senses once again by a pair of warm lips against yours. You kissed back. His lips were slightly chapped but you're ok with it. He tastes and smells like hot chocolate, you've been waiting for this.

   You both melt into eachother and your arms snake around the back of his neck, and he wraps his around your waist.

   You don't know how long you were kissing, it felt like forever and a few seconds all the same time. His hand is on your cheek now, with one gripping your hip and you're doing the same. His lips are nibbling your ear and you can hear him breath, it makes a chill run up your spine. As well as him playing with your hair.

"I love you ara" he whispers, so soft you can barelly hear it

"I love you too, but we should get home. Its getting late a chilly" you felt him hug you really tight and wiggle his head in your neck.

"can we stay here for a few more minutes? this is the best night Iv had in awhile and i'd like it to last just a little longer"

"Eridan, no one is saying it has to end"
