The beach was abandoned by the time they had arrived, and the sun was beginning to set, leaving an orange and yellow tint in the sky and a cool breeze in the air.

Audrey laughed at Connor's attempt to park in one of the hundred free spaces available. As always, he took up two of them, leaving Audrey embarrassed.

"Okay, let's go." Connor had already one leg out the door before Audrey spoke.

"Connor, no! You have to do it properly!" She gripped Connor's elbow to stop him from exiting the car anymore than he already had.

"Audrey, trust me. This is as good as it gets." Both their eyes landed at the rear view mirror, catching a glimpse of a royal blue car slowly driving past. The driver sent them two sharp honks, before speeding off.

Connor raised his middle finger up, rolling down the window via the car window switch. "Yeah, fuck you too." Connor said before shutting the window again. When he looked over at Audrey, her face was the same color as the sky.

"Let's... Let's just go." Audrey mumbled and the two of them exited the car. Connor pressed the button on his keys to lock the car, and Audrey walked over join him with a large cream colored fabric bag that contained the camera and her other necessities, including her oxygen.

They both walked down a flight of chipped wooden stairs that led to the beach itself. The sand was grainy but still softer than usual and as thin as paper. Audrey took off her sandals and sunk her toes into the ground as Connor looked up and down the beach.

"Over there." He pointed to the far end of the beach that curved into a crescent moon shape and he could see the small mountains of rocks forming. Plus, there was a lesser chance of someone disturbing them while they filmed.

As they walked through the sand, Connor watched the navy blue water rise and fall into small waves. He cringed at the thought of how cold that water was, but admired how lovely it looked. "Hold on, get the camera out." Connor said and Audrey dug through her bag and pulled out the black Cannon.

He turned the expensive camera on, before bringing it up near his eyes. Through the lens, the water looked even more beautiful. He recorded the waves for a few seconds, then slowly turned to face the direction they were walking. Audrey accidentally stepped into the frame as she walked ahead, but Conner decided he liked the look of her trekking through the sand that made it difficult for them to walk fast.

"Look!" Audrey suddenly exclaimed, and Connor turned to face her. She crouched down in front of a fist-sized sand pile. Upon closer inspection, Connor realized that it was in fact not just a mountain of sand, but a shell.

"Oh sorry, I forgot you were recording." Audrey said when she looked up at him from where he stood hovering over her.

"No, no. Just keep going." He said.

"Oh, okay." Audrey gently swept the sand off the white and pink colored shell with her fingers, revealing the little pinkish-red lumps along it. She gently pulled at it, careful not to break the thin shelling. Once successfully drawn out, she stood up and faced the camera. She held the shell up next to her face and smiled wide, causing Connor to burst out laughing at how happy she looked.

He stopped recording and lowered the camera, looking at Audrey in real life instead of through the lens. She looked even more beautiful in person even though he felt the camera still captured her essence.

"Have you ever even seen a shell like this?!" Audrey continued to admire the moon-shaped shell, turning it around in her hand.

"No, guess not." Connor chuckled.
