CHAPTER THREEthere are quite a few words one could use to describe hoseok. hyungwon, however, picked three that he thought described the boy perfectly.
greasy, flirty, and, most prominent, annoying.
hyungwon was actually slightly caught off guard when hoseok first threw him a flirty comment followed with a sly wink. his first impression on the silver-haired boy was a good one, but that has now changed.
it was one greasy gesture after another and one too many flirty comments that kept hyungwon's left eye twitching the entire time he was at the warehouse. he decided that maybe after the fourth comment on his 'starry' eyes that he made an attempt to leave.
"key, i'm gonna go now," he had muttered to his pink haired friend that had given up his remote to hyunwoo.
"but you haven't even played mario kart yet! i wanted to play against you, but you were busy talking to hoseok," kihyun whined.
"he's the reason i want to leave. if he isn't here next time, i'll play." and that was when the conversation had stopped. hyungwon didn't even wait for a response or catch the sad look in kihyun's eye as he turned around and left.
-
his weekend started in annoyance but turned into a peaceful time as he spent nearly the whole time reading.
but as always, the time ticks by and the days past by quickly.
monday came far too soon for hyungwon's liking but he suffers on a daily basis anyways so it was too much of a big deal.
by the time the clock struck 10:23am the lanky, and once again, irritated brunette found himself in his special little corner in the library, a new book clutched in between his bony ass fingers.
his eyes flickering between his normal shade of brown to a lovely peachy pink as they scanned the ink dotting the slightly worn out paper.
his ears picked up on some new voices as people entered the library but he quickly tuned them out to focus on the book he was reading. his peachy speckled eyes slowly flicked into a burning orange, one you'd see at the final stage of a sunset, mixed with flecks of red. the voices, now seeming to of turned into one, has started getting louder, closer.
too close.
far too close in fact, because the person belonging to the voice has now infiltrated hyungwon's quiet nest. his little sanctuary has been found.
growling under his breath in irritation, the chestnut haired boy lifted his head up menacingly slow, trying to show the owner of the voice that he's not happy.
eyes burning orange land onto the stranger.
the one and only person hyungwon has ever truly wanted to avoid is now standing before him with a smug ass smile gracing his smooth face.
"fuckin' heck," he thought as soon as he connected eyes with hoseok, the smug smile growing bigger at the attention.
"ah there you are. i was missing your pretty face," the silver hair on his head swished as he ran a hand through it too muss it up, all while he was giving 'the eyes' to hyungwon. all the lanky boy on the ground could do was scoff and send a silent prayer to the universe to somehow teleport either him or the greasy boy in front of him somewhere far, far away.
with the lack of reaction, hoseok took it as a sign to take a seat besides the boy on the ground.
"hey, beautiful," hoseok threw him a flirty wink.
"bye, greasy." hyungwon shot his flirting attempts down. closing his book, grabbing his bag and exiting the library. but not without giving hoseok one last stank eye, just for good measure to make sure the silver haired boy got the message.
-
hyungwon finds it funny how he never really used to catch sight of silver hair with blue tips, nor did he even realise someone with the name 'hoseok' was in his class. he truly never realised how he just never payed attention to anything around him. his main focus was just trying to survive the school day without wanting to deck a rat for being too loud.
but now, all he sees is who he's trying to avoid.
hoseok seems to just be everywhere. his winks, greasy smiles and flirty greetings.
hyungwon has done a pretty good job of ignoring and avoiding the cause of his twitching left eye, but when suddenly in the middle of a class he never realised hoseok was in, the teacher assigned partners for an upcoming project that is going to be completed in class, the chestnut-haired boy knew it wouldn't so easy anymore.
it was going good, hyungwon was praying to be paired with another silent soul, but when that girls name was called to be paired with someone else. hyungwon knew he was doomed.
the way the people paired up and names got called, it almost seemed like a dramatic movie was being played out in the form of reality.
the lanky chestnut-haired boy looked across the room with muted blue eyes, the disappointment clear on his features, he locked eyes with hoseok.
the way the latters brown eyes stared into hyungwon's muted blue ones, from a bystanders point of view it must've looked like a scene out of a soapie, but as soon as one of those brown eyes closed into a wink the scene automatically changed.
hyungwon's once blue eyes flashed into a burning orange, annoyance taking over the disappointment and once their two names were called to be partners, hyungwon wanted nothing more than a black hole to swallow him whole.
it seemed planned, the way hoseok's face broke out into his signature smug grin, his pre-packed bag already swung over his shoulder and how he then proceeded to walk over in, what hyungwon assumed to be, a seductive manner. the annoyed brunette guessed hoseok had somehow beforehand asked the teacher to partner them up.
well played.
"hey there, partner. it seems like fate wanted us to be together," hoseok spoke confidently with a sly grin. the look in his eye told hyungwon otherwise though, hoseok was slightly nervous.
"sure, blame fate for this tragic arrangement,"
"ouch. i'm not that bad," hoseok replied, dramatically placing a hand over his heart "you'll learn to love me. try blaming fate then."
all hyungwon could do was scoff and curse himself for accepting the offer to hang out at the warehouse.
it was a big mistake.
