First Day (Part 2)

Victoria's POV

"Nice doing business with you, Mr. Del Rios" i said tsaka nakipagshake-hands sa kanya.

"I hope this is not our last meeting" he said then wink at me then umalis na siya. Kalalaking tao ang landi.

"Carly!" sigaw ko mula sa labas.

"Yes Ma'am?" sabi niya.

"Updates" sabi ko at binuksan na niya ang planner na hawak niya.

"You have no meeting to attend Ma'am. Just some papers that you need to sign and also yung roundings niyo po to visit some Departments" sabi niya.

"Cancel that. And for the papers, Send it to my house this afternoon. Doon ko nalang gagawin yun. I'll be going may pupuntahan pa ko" sabi ko at umalis na.

After a few minutes nakarating din ako sa resthouse. Nagpalit ako ng damit sa kotse and I'm now wearing a plain Tshirt at 3/4 pants. 

"It's about time" salubong sakin ni Nathan habang nakahiga sa couch. Grabe sawang sawa na kong makita ang mukha niya. Inirapan ko lang siya at sinimulan na ang trabaho ko.

"Hi Victoria" bati sakin ng kaibigan ni Nathan.

"Hello" simpleng bati ko sa kanya at nagpatuloy na ko trabaho ko.

"Sorry kung di ako nakapagpakilala. By the way, I'm Ricky, Ricky Jhay Flores. Nathan's most handsome best bud" he winked at me sabay offer ng kamay niya para makipag handshake.

"Nice meeting you, I'm Victoria. Cassie Victoria Casabuena" I said while accepting his hand.

"Alam mo, your too pretty to be a maid. Maybe..." he step closer to me.

"You could be my girl" he said then add his killer smile, i think.

"Hey! I told you not that one!" sigaw ni Nathan sa kanya. Napatawa naman si Ricky.

"Thanks but, I think I've learned enough from the past" sabi ko at pinapatuloy ang trabaho ko. Bigla namang tumayo si Nathan at pumunta sa kwarto niya.

Nathan's POV

  "Thanks but, I think I've learned enough from the past"  

So what is she trying to say? Na ako pa ang nanloko sa kanya? Seriously? Eh ako nga tong parang biniyak sa kalahati eh. And yet it looks like hindi man lang siya tinablan ng konsensya niya.

Suddenly i heard my phone ringing and it's from downstair. Naiwan ko pala yung phone ko. Lumabas ako para kunin yun at nakita kong hawak ni Victoria yun kaya agad kong kinuha yun.

"Hey! Have you forgotten? Rule #4! Wala kang karapatang mangialam ng personal things namin!" sabi ko at sinagot ang tawag.

Me: Hello?

Rebecca: Surprise?

Napatingin ako kay Victoria.

Me: Oh Rebecca! Honey! Napatawag ka!

Rebecca: I miss you Honey!

Me: Yeah, me too.

Nakita kong medyo nairita ang mukha ni Victoria sa narinig niya. She really hate her.

Rebecca: Do you have time? Let's meet.

Me: Let's meet? Sure! When? Where?

Rebecca: I'll send you later. See you, Honey!

Me: Yeah, see you.

"Who's that, dude?" tanong ni Ricky.

"Nothing, just one of my playmate" I said then smirks. Tumingin ako kay Victoria. Busy siya sa pagliligpit ng table.

"May pupuntahan lang ako. If there's an emergency, call me" sabi ko at umalis na.

Victoria's POV

Umalis na si Nathan. Pupuntahan yata yung bruhang yun.

"Aalis na din muna ako" sabi ko kay Ricky.

"Ha? Bakit?" tanong niya

"Dyan lang ako sa labas. Babalik din ako kaagad" sabi ko. Lumabas ako sa bahay at naglibot libot. Suddenly I saw the old tree na lagi naming tinatambayan ni Nathan dati. Nasa tabi yun ng ilog kaya magandang pagtambayan. Pumunta ako dun at umupo sa may damuhan at sumilong sa puno. I remember when the old Joseph gave an engagement ring to the old Cassie...

   "A sign that no one can ever keep us apart" 

That was the old Joseph told me when he gave me that silver ring.. Sumandal ako sa may puno nang may madaganan ako. Isang babasaging bagay. And it looks like a piece of christmas light at mukhang luma na ito. Then I suddenly remember something.. The 1st anniversary.. The last memory of us being happy together.. 

"I love you, Cassie Victoria Casabuena. Now and Forever" 

And without noticing, my tears begun to fall.. Sobrang saya namin dati... Anong nangyari ngayon?
