Living with the Bad Boy

Chapter 2

I knew that school was going to be rough now that I was living with Alec so when Monday came, I did not want to get up. But I decided on going anyway because I knew it wouldn't be any better on Tuesday.

I took a shower and got ready. I put on a little more makeup than usual and I grabbed my phone and bag.

I went downstairs and grabbed an apple for breakfast. My parent left a car for me to drive to school which made me really happy. I grabbed my keys and drove to school. I never saw Alec this morning but that was okay with me.

When I got to school I walked to the spot I always meet my friends and saw Selena and Taylor waiting for me.

"TELL ME ALL ABOUT IT!" They both said in unison.

""Woah calm yourselves." I said laughing. They looked psycho which is true so I don't know why I was surprised.

I explained to them how nothing had happened yet and I hadn't even really seen him at all because he was out most of the weekend.

"Awe come on something must have happened" Taylor said a bit disappointed.

"Hey. IF something happens you guys will be the first to know. And that is IF anything interesting goes down. Which I doubt it will. He will probably avoid me like the plague since he seems to hate me. The look on his face when he found out I was staying with him alone was priceless." I said

"Hey. Can we come over this weekend?" Selena asks. "Maybe Alec will invite some of his friends."

"Sure but I'm not promising he will" I said

"Yay. Well we should get to class. "

We all went to chemistry and sat down in our usual seats in the front. The good students usually sit in the front while the students who couldn't care less about school sit in the back and sleep or talk. I actually card about school so I sat in the front. Alec, however, sits on the back which is odd because he still gets decent grades for being the bad boy.

"Why is everyone staring at me?" I ask Selena and Taylor.

They look at me like I'm stupid or something.

"Did you just ask that question?" Selena says looking at me with a 'are you really that stupid' look. "You are living with the ALEC PARKER. You think people are just going to ignore that?"

Oh. That's why. But I really didn't want this attention. I was getting glares from all of the girls. In every class I was getting glares from every girl in the school. They were all jealous because I was living with Alec and they weren't. They don't understand that I don't want to live with Alec. If I could I would trade places with them. But obviously I can't do that.

The whole week is the same thing. I would come to school and everyone would glare at me while I was in the parking lot, while I was in the hallway and in class. Basically everywhere. I even got glares from a freshman in the bathroom.

"Hey loser" oh no not her. Not now. I knew I was gonna get it now.

"Hey Courtney" I said. Trying my hardest not to scream and run. Not that anyone would save me. Everyone seems to hate me right now. But most of all Courtney hates me. She has for a long time. We used to be best friends but the when middle school started, she became popular and she left me in the dust. Now, she is the queen bee with her little minions who praise her.

"I hear you're living with Alec" she said. "Just let me make one thing clear. You will not go near him. You will not talk to him. You will not flirt with him. You will not go anywhere with him. Don't even breath near him. You got it?"

"That's gonna be hard considering I'm living in the same house as him Courtney." I said knowing that it was going to make her mad and I instantly regretted saying it.

"You bitch" she said and she slapped me. Yes. She slapped me. And I ran. Like the pathetic loser she thought I was. Maybe I was a pathetic loser.

I felt blood dripping down my face where Courtney's long fake nails had contacted my face. I also felt the tears streaming down my face as I ran from the school. I decided just to go home and not deal with anyone.

By the time I woke up, I looked at my phone and saw that I had over 30 texts and calls from Taylor and Selena asking what happened and why I wasn't in school.

I was glad it was Friday because I didn't have to go to school for three days.

I texted Selena and Taylor to let them know that I still wanted them to come over tonight.

I got a quick response from both of them saying they would be over in 15 minutes. I washed my face and applied some makeup in an attempt to cover my red swollen eyes from crying.

5 minutes later the doorbell rang. I got up and opened the door expecting to see Selena and Taylor but instead saw two of Alec's friends. Tyler and Jared.

"Hey Tyler. Hey Jared." I said quietly. "Alec isn't here."

"Oh okay. Mind if we wait?" Jared asked.

" oh No go ahead. I have company coming over. " I said.

"Oh who?" This time it was Tyler that asked.

"Selena and Taylor" I said and I saw a look in Tyler's eye but it quickly vanished. He opened his mouth to say something but he quickly closed it and stayed quiet.

Pretty soon the doorbell rang again and this time it was actually Selena and Taylor.

"Hey come on in. Alec's not here but his friends are." They came in and both of them waved. Tyler got that look in his eyes again but this time it stayed. His eyes looked longingly at Selena but Selena was focused on me.

OMG! I think Tyler likes Selena. Except that Tyler is a player. I don't know. But this was definitely coming up sometime tonight.

"Okay, Mya" Taylor says. "We need to talk. Where's your room?"

"It's upstairs lets go." I said. "Bye guys. I'm guessing I will be seeing you guys later?"

"Yeah you will" Jared said and his face showed actual emotion towards me. Who knew that the supposed bad boys actually had feelings? So maybe Alec does too?
