Living with the Bad Boy

Chapter 6

So, I have been running for a long time and I have no idea where I am. I am honestly getting scared. I had makeup running down my face from crying so much. I probably looked like a zombie or at least I had to look insane. No wonder nobody had stopped.

I couldn't believe that I actually thought that Alec could like me. I was so stupid and now I have to spend another week with him.

I was sitting by a tree for at least an hour when I heard people screaming my name. They had found me. I contemplated running again but it was not use. It was getting dark so I needed to go with them.

"There she is!" I heard Taylor say.

I was huddled up in a ball up against a tree.

"Let me go talk to her" Alec said. Everyone else just waited.

"Mya...Mya. Please talk to me?"

"What?" I said coldly. "Why are you even still here. Obviously you don't care about me so just go. Just go. I don't want to talk to you."

"Mya. This wasn't just a bet"

"Then what was it? Tell me. Because to me it only looks like a bet. I was stupid enough to think that a guy like you could actually like a girl like me. I was so dumb. I don't even know what I was thinking. Ou right. That maybe you were different but obviously I was wrong. I just wish that I had realized it sooner." I said.

"At first it was a bet, but then I actually started falling for you. Once I actually took the time to talk to you and just be with you, I realized that I made a mistake letting you go when we were friends a long time ago. You are amazing Mya. You don't even realize it but you are perfect. That's why I was trying to get out. I didn't realize this until last night but Mya, I think I'm starting to fall in love with you." 

And with that I was in tears again.

"I don't know what to believe anymore" I said

"Believe me when I say that my feelings for you right now are real. I'm not faking it to get you in bed okay?"

"I love you, Mya Rivers"

The tears just wouldn't stop. But I think they started to become happy tears. He loved me. I just hope he meant it this time.

"Oh and Mya?"

"What?" I said.

"I don't regret making that bet." He said looking serious as ever.

"Excuse me?" I said. I couldn't believe it. What is going on? I thought he liked me. No. I thought he loved me. I'm so damn confused.

"If I would have never taken that bet, I would have never realized my true feelings for you, Mya. I would have never realized how much I actually love you." He looked so sincere. I was so relieved.

We started to walk back to the group and Alec took my hand in his and I felt sparks go up my arm. This. Is. amazing.

I looked up to see both Taylor and Tyler smiling. Jared looked a little defeated because Alec got what he wanted. Then there was Selena. She was grinning like there was no tomorrow.

"Hey" Alec whispered on my ear.

"What?" I whispered back giggling knowing that I suck at whispering.

"Does this still mean we are dating?" He asked.

"Hmm...let me thing about it... YES!" I said screaming it.

Alec was grinning and laughing while everyone else was looking at me with confusion and looking at me like I am crazy which I am so it makes sense.

We got back to the cabin and decided to just watch a movie. On the way back, Selena and Tyler had announced that they were dating. Which leaves Taylor and Jared. Since it was a bet, I'm guessing Jared doesn't actually like me so me and Selena are going to have to secretly set Taylor and Jared up. They would be so cute together.
