Living with the Bad Boy

Chapter 5

And that's when I realized that there was something more than a bad boy in Alec. It was like I was meeting the old Alec. The Alec I was friends with before.

"Wait. Something else happened." I said.

"What?" Alec asked thoroughly confused.

"He kissed me."

I chased Alec trying to get him to stop but he refused.

"ALEC!" I yelled. "Why are you doing this?"

He didn't turn back.

He walked up to Jared and pulled him to the side. They talked and I was glad he wasn't physically fighting.

We divided it would be best to just go back to the cabin and let things calm down.

We reached the cabin at about midnight and I went to bed. I couldn't sleep after what happened. About 20 minutes later Alec came in. He took his shirt off and got in bed. I could tell he was angry so I scooted closer to him and put my hand on his arm. He turned to face me and his eyes looked cold. He turned back around.

The next couple days at camp things got better. There was less tension and Jared and Alec seemed on better terms. We did fun things all weekend and it was our last night at the cabin. We were going to leave the next day.

Alec asked me if we could talk on the sand by the lake. We were sitting on a towel watching the sunset. Everyone else was watching a movie inside. It was peaceful outside.

Alec and I just talked for hours until he took my hand.

"Mya?"

"Yeah?" I said looking into his eyes. They weren't cold like a few nights before. They were soft.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. I never thought I would ever hear those words come from his mouth. He's supposed to be a player. A bad boy. Not the guy with the nerdy girlfriend. But that didn't stop me from saying yes.

"Yes Alec I will" I said.

We decided to tell everyone the next day so we just went to sleep. It was the first night that I was comfortable sleeping in the same bed as Alec.

The next day we were going to tell them. We decided on eating out for breakfast on our way home so when we woke up we started packing.

The drive was only a held an hour and then we were there. We sat down at a table and ordered our food. When it came, we decided to tell everyone. They were all happy for us except Jared. Of course. He did not take the news well at all. He was so angry. He didn't even eat. He just stormed out of the restaurant and took a car and left. He seriously took one of the cars and left.

So we packed into one car and drove home. We were in Tyler's car so he dropped Selena and Taylor off and then me and Alec.

We unpacked our stuff and watched a movie. I ended up falling asleep on his shoulder and I faintly remember him carrying me to bed.

In the morning, I got up for school and got ready. I put some makeup of and did my hair. I was actually happy today. I was dating Alec Parker. The Alec Parker. And I couldn't be happier. Except I feel bad for Jared. He didn't deserve this.

But I wasn't going to ruin my relationship with Alec. So I went downstairs and grabbed an apple for breakfast.

"Hey" I said.

"Hey babe" he said pecking me on the lips.

Alec decided that he would just drive us to school. I only had to make it through this week and then it would be spring break. Spring break was two weeks long and the group decided we would go somewhere together.

When we got to school everyone already knew we were dating. Word travels fast. And the glares were so much worse than before.

But somehow I managed to get through the week. Courtney was with her parents in Miami for the five day break until the end of spring break so I didn't have to worry about her for the whole week. That made it a little bit better.

The group had decided we would go to Cali. We packed up and left on Friday night. We took a flight from NY and reached Cali Saturday morning. We checked into our hotel and we had the same room arrangements as the cabin we stayed in before.

We spent the day at the hotel just chilling after our long flight.

We watched movies. It was fun then we went to sleep. Our parents were pretty loaded so we got the hotel suites which were huge.

We finally decided to go to bed at 10. We changed and climbed into bed. Right as we were about to go to sleep Alec leans over and kissed the top of my forehead. Goodnight princess. I fell asleep smiling that night.

In the morning we got the hotels breakfast and discussed our plans for the day. We decided since it was so hot we would go to the beach. I still didn't have a swimsuit so I was stuck with Taylor's tiny swimsuit.

We had a blast at the beach. The girls tanned for part of it and we swam and built a sand castle like children. We were actually having fun. We forgot about all of the stress and the issues between Jared and Alec had vanished for the day but they were definitely not forgotten.

The next few days we went on tours of California and we went to the beach a few times and we just walked around looking at the sites.

It was now Friday. We still had over a week before we had to go back. This was the bast experience of me life. I was having so much fun. Alec and I seemed to fall deeper for each other everyday. That is until this happened.

-Alec's POV-

I needed to talk to Jared. I wanted out of the bet.

I pulled him aside.

"I want out, dude." I said.

"You want out of what?" Oh no. It was Mya who said that. She couldn't know. She would never forgive me. Oh god please don't let him tell her.

-Mya's POV-
I saw Alec pull Jared aside so I decided to see what was going on. Then in heard Alec say he wanted out of something.

"You want out of what?" I asked curious. Alec looked like a deer in the headlights. He was speechless. Jared, however, was smiling, no, smirking.

"What's going on?" I asked. "Alec?"

"Tell her Alec" Jared said still smirking.

"Tell me what?" Now I was worried.

"Tell her about the bet" Jared said. Alec gave Jared a look that could kill. It was a 'you're getting it later' look.

"Tell her about the bet to see who could get the good girl in bed first" Jared said. He looked so happy with himself. Me, I was shocked and angry and sad and confused and I didn't know what to do so I ran. I ran as fast and as far as I could. Selena and Taylor tried to chase me but I was already gone.
