My speech is eloquent,
But I am foulmouthed.
I shall not utter such words,
But I will swear and snarl in spite.
My steps are ever so graceful,
But I will stumble and fall.
I am reserved and placid,
But I cannot contain myself.
I am strong and bold,
But please, I cannot take it.
They love and appreciate me,
So why do they hate me so much?
Life is worth living,
But I can end it all.
I am as pure as the driven snow,
I am as foul as the devil himself.
I wrote this poem to show that humans will have their good and bad sides, and that it is nature. The speaker in this poem says how he/she feels that sometimes other people think that he/she is "as pure as the driven snow", and sometimes the speaker feels that he/she does feel like that.
Sometimes, people think he/she is "as foul as the devil himself", and also the speaker feels that he/she is like that also.
What we fail to realise is that everybody has their flaws and bad traits, but we have the good things about us also. Nobody can avoid that.
