chapter 19: please be ok

Adrian's POV (yassss his turn)

Marinette seemed to wobble on the ice. I started after her when I saw her reach out to something. There was nobody there, which confused me further. She looked up to about my night then collapsed.

Alya and Nino saw the whole thing too. They came over to where she lay, unconscious.

Trying to wake her, I shook her shoulder," Marinette?"

Having no response and no medical training, I told Alya and Nino to call an ambulance.

When Alya came back she said, " they asked if we can leave her body where it is (no she ain't dead😹) and they will be here asap. Adrian, she'll spend her time in the hospital until she recovers. As much as I want to be there, I can't. Neither can Nino. Please stay with her like she did with you."

"Yeah. Sure..." I was going to stay by her no matter what. With out her I will surely die
The paramedics finally arrived. Of course, we left her where she fainted but with my jacket under her face so it didn't get too cold.

They put her on a gurney and put her in an ambulance. We couldn't ride back with her since we weren't direct family.

The way to the hospital, was silent and everyone was on edge.

When Mari fell, I felt sheer terror. I felt the immense fear of the realization that if she didn't get back up, she wouldn't be my future. That I'll be a lonely old man, like my father but without someone to carry on the legacy. Knowing that, I blacked out, like I was awake and could talk to the paramedics but couldn't think of anything other than my lady in there.
