chapter 21: awoken by tears

Nobody's POV

The hospital was dark and not a creature was stirring. All the halls were darkened and snores rang through. Adrian was laying on a cot the nurse gave him. He couldn't sleep because of the severe thunderstorm outside.

The rain pounded against the windows of Marinette's room. Adrian was crying, he's never liked storms.

He felt slim arms wrap around him. "Shhhh, its ok I'm here now."

"M-Mari?" He started to stutter.

"Yes baby I'm here."

He was now crying harder, but because Mari woke up.

She looked down at him, then around the room.

"But, where are we?"

"At the hospital. You went into a coma at the ice rink. 3 and a half months ago."

"OMG!"

"I've missed you purrincess. What happened?"

"I saw Max and he reached out to me. I lost control of my body. For the last three months, I've been with him. Like I guess in a different dimension. I felt like something was missing so I went as Lb and found out that it was an akuma. I just defeated it a few minutes ago. And I heard you crying."

"Oh my god" he started breathing heavy.

Marinette started to get up when he held her back.

"Stay with me." He asked.

"Of course my love," she replied and kissed him before sleeping next to him.
