The bell rang and they made their way to second period which was math. Walking down the corridor Dallon grabbed Tyler and Brendon punched him in the stomach. Struggling to breathe Tyler dropped his books on the floor and everyone started laughing. Aware of Tyler's struggle, Josh picked up the books and slapped Brendon across his face. Everyone stood in the hall looking shocked and their jaws almost hit the floor. Catching his breath Tyler thanked Josh and took his books.

Tyler was in shock. He couldn't believe someone would defend him like that, no one had ever had his back in situations like that. He felt Josh could be trusted a lot more than he originally thought.

They finally got to math with Mrs. Mays. Tyler thought she was a nice teacher as she was very understanding and knew about Tyler's haunting depression. Josh was weirdly good at maths, like really good at it. He knew pi to over 30 places and could memorise so many formulas. Tyler didn't really like maths but he seemed to do well in his exams.

After 2 more classes it was lunch. Tyler's anxiety wouldn't allow him to eat in the canteen as he felt every eye in the room was watching him. They both went outside to eat and Josh grabbed his pen and notepad and started drawing Tyler staring at the bare trees. Josh's artistic side was unknown to Tyler but there were many sides of Josh that Tyler was unaware of.
