Morning soon arrived. Josh's pink hair was a fluffy mess and Tyler's shirt was crumpled. "Hey." Josh croaked in a deep voice. "Ergh, I need more sleep. I think 5 more hours would be good." Tyler groaned jokingly. "Considering you've only had 4 hours sleep, you surprisingly look good." "Are you really hitting on me right now?" Josh blushed and gave a smirk. Tyler's mum knocked on his bedroom door then walked in with a look of confusion on her face. "You shared a bed?" "Yeah I didn't want Josh to have to sleep on the floor. I'm trying to be a nice friend." That one word, 'friend', killed Josh a little on the inside. He didn't want to be Tyler's friend he wanted to be something more.

They both decided to go for a walk and clear their heads from the previous night. "How do we always end up in this exact same situation?" Josh questioned. "What situation?" Tyler laughed. "The situation where we have a moment then you say we're just friends." Josh frowned. "Oh...erm Josh I don't know what to say. I mean we're great friends and I don't want to ruin that." Josh didn't say anything he just stared at the wet leaves on the ground. "Tyler, I really do love you." "No you don't, you just think you do. Love is a powerful thing. "What?" "Its giving someone everything you have and trusting them not to destroy it. I just feel like I'll destroy it and I don't want to hurt you." "But love will find a way-" "No Josh." Tyler interrupted, "This isn't love, it's friendship and I'm sorry to disappoint you." Looking upset Tyler tried to comfort josh but it was impossible. "I'm just gonna go home." "No Josh please don't." It was too late, he was already walking away in the opposite direction.

Arriving at his house Tyler realised how much he'd hurt Josh and that that was the last thing he wanted to do. He did the only thing he could think of and text Josh the most heartfelt apology he could think of. "Tyler get some sleep. You have school tomorrow." Tyler's mum whispered through the door. The light went off and his eyes closed.
