It was Saturday morning and Josh decided to walk to Tyler's house to see how he was doing. Approaching the door he was reluctant to knock but he knew that he wanted to see Tyler. His mum answered the door and told Josh that he was upstairs in his room. Walking up the stairs he heard someone playing the piano, it was Tyler. He just stood outside of the door listening to him play the instrument. After a few minutes of listening Josh gave a little knock and walked in. Tyler was surprised to see him but it was a nice surprise.

"Josh! I...I wasn't expecting to see you." "Sorry. The truth is I just really wanted to see you. I miss you Tyler." Standing up his piano he hugged Josh tightly. Feeling his warmth he whispered in his ear, "I've missed you too." Josh gave out a sigh of relief as he didn't want to lose his best friend, his only friend. After seconds of holding each other, Tyler knocked the piano keys with his thigh making it play several keys at once. Startling them, they separated and sat on Tyler's bed.

"Josh, there's something I need to tell you." Tyler said in a low voice. "Don't say it like that. What is it?" "My depression is getting a lot worse and I'm worried that I'm gonna do something stupid...again" Lifting up his shirt Josh saw the cuts across Tyler's stomach. "You have me, I'll protect you." "Thanks Josh."

After a few hours of talking Josh called his mum asking if he could sleep over. That night they didn't sleep, they just lay staring at the ceiling talking about Tyler's depression and Josh's anxiety. When Josh was mid-sentence Tyler leaned over at kissed him. Not just a little peck but one which involved tongues. Josh didn't hesitate to kiss him back, even though he was confused about the situation.

"Wow. You're a really good kisser." Tyler gasped. Josh giggled a little. "So does this mean that you like me?" "We'll talk in the morning, get some sleep." "Night Tyler."
