riley was anxious. in a few minutes, all her friends will be at her house to help her get ready for her date. what if he actually liked her? riley shook her head. she needed to move on and eugene was such a nice guy. riley continued flipping through her fashion magazine.

farkle sat next to smackle on riley’s bed. he couldn't stop thinking about their little encounter at the library. it was so frustrating, every time he saw her.

she was currently sat in front of her mirror, doing her makeup. he didn't understand why she even had to wear makeup. she was perfect already. riley was telling everyone about how she met eugene and how he asked her out but farkle couldn't care less. he was too busy thinking about the library encounter.

she sat up from her stool and turned to face everyone. she was yelling about something excitedly and clapping her hands. farkle watched the way her lips moved and how every now and then she would tuck her hair behind her ear. farkle had convinced himself that it was normal what he was feeling towards her. it was sexual tension. that was all it was.

it wasn't like he didn't like smackle. smackle just wanted to wait until she was ready and farkle was completely fine with that. he respected her and her choices. he wasn't ready to do it either. in fact, he was even more glad that smackle wasn't ready yet. then why did it feel like he wanted riley so bad?

"farkle!" he was snapped out of his thoughts by maya calling his name.

"what do you think?" riley asked him about her outfit.

she was wearing a purple dress that made her look like an actual princess. farkle gave her a small nod and looked back at his shoes. all in all, she looked breathtaking but he didn't want to say more. he couldn't say more. he was afraid.

riley's smile dropped. the entire time they've been here, farkle looked disinterested. he looked like he didn't even want to be there. riley could tell maya noticed because every now and then, maya would shoot her a sympathetic glance.

within a few minutes, she was ready to go. riley hugged maya goodbye and went on a date.
