Lost

Light shines through the clouds. It's morning. Nolly is surprised" I only rested my head for a second." The sunshine and light in the sky mixed with the birds chirping bring a peaceful atmosphere. Seeing this Nolly says "This isn't too bad," and keeps looking around "but my mom is probably worried sick."

He looks around trying to finding the direction of the house. That way looks familiar. And that way looks new! So I should go explore the new area... But after I check up with my mom. Maybe just five minutes in the new area? No wait, five minutes is going to end up being five hours. Yea, back home I go.

He starts to head in the direction of the house through the forest. It seems all so peaceful and lovely. He enjoys his walk, but then decides to run faster. His knee gives out on him and he slams into the ground. "What's happening to me?" he says quietly in some pain "I must be getting old" he adds jokingly.

He brings himself to his feet and starts limping. This isn't good. I'm not suppose to be getting this old this quick. I mean I'm not suppose to be this weak. I was just full of energy. He continues walking and thinking to himself. Let's see. I fought shadows, that had to do a number on me. I stressed my body full of electric lightning. Nah, that's not it. Okay, well maybe that. I also overslept, cuz it's early morning, and it was kinda morning when I came out here. Maybe it's been a couple days. Maybe years. Nah, I would be dead. Wait am I dead. He slaps himself in the face. Nope! I've got feeling. Wait, do you feel things in heaven? I gotta keep on track, it's just morning time.

Nolly arrives at his grandparents house. Knocks on the door "anyone home?" Opens the door to see his Grandpa sleeping on the couch. He shakes his Grandpa, "anyone home?" but his Grandpa is fast asleep.

He runs up the stairs and looks through all the rooms. He thinks to himself Where are they? Where did they go?

Nolly runs down stairs and looks around the house one more time. Just for any signs of anything unusual. Everything looks completely normal. He steps back outside and circles the house once to see if there is any sign of them. He notices the rental car.

Quickly he runs back inside to his Grandpa who's asleep on the couch. He takes his hand and gives him a gentle shake. "Come on, wake up" he says.

Grandpa tilts his head forward and asks "What's happening Nolly?"

"Where are mom and grandma?" Nolly replies immediately.

"Oh, they just ran into town to get some food and stuff."

"All right, that sounds good. Was my mom worried at all about me being gone."

"No, I kept her calm. I told her that you were with me a good part of the day and that you were probably just exploring the forest some more. Also that I was completely confident that you could take care of yourself in the woods."

"Oh, okay. Thanks... Also... I want to tell you about a ton of stuff that happen. When I was exploring the forest, there were these shadow warriors, and I ended up shooting them with lightning. And when I shot them with lightning the evaporated into this black mist. Also when they touched me it felt cold like ice. And once I totally destroyed all of them. I felt like I needed some rest. So I laid my head down for a second. Now it's tomorrow."

Grandpa looks at Nolly with a smug look and opens his mouth "Nolly, it's not tomorrow, it's barely the afternoon. Shadows are very illusive. I think they got you believing it was tomorrow. But it's really just still today. Also I've been completely surrounded by those shadows before. And the icy chill they give out is only an illusion. If you pay close enough attention, you can actually feel your skin is still warm. They are very tricky critters. So, yea, you're all right. Come on! Let's see how well you are shooting that lightning."
