Chapter 2

By the way , I am Catherine Mae Bersola, 18 years old. I am currently studying at Fortrich International School. One of the prestige universities in the Philippines. Its one of the top 5 most expensive schools in the state. Many have asked, My family is not that rich and yet why did I managed to study here, I'm a scholar here by the way. I study really hard for my future at para naman makabawi ako sa hirap at pagod na binuhos ng parents ko.

First day of class as usual, the introduction of names will always be there. New environment. Everything is new, even though I'm already in my 4th year in this school but for me everything will be new to me because I've heard that there will be no more 1st section or the fast learners section. So, yung mga close friends ko ibang section na at magkakalayo kami. Its saddening to my part.

I'm walking in the lobby habang nagco-comb sa hair ko. Pinaramdaman ko muna yung paligid ng school, yung ambiance niya at tinitignan kung meron bang new facilities ang school. Syempre hindi naman maiiwasan ang mga mata, looking for new faces.

*BOOGSH !*

"Ano ba?" parang galit na sabi ko

Natilapon yung suklay ko sa may gilid ng lobby

Tangina beh oh! Umaga pa nga lang, badshot na ako.

And this guy na bumangga sa akin, seemed new to me. Never ko pang nakita sa school, Maybe a freshmen or a transferee yata to. Nakaheadset lang siya, at parang walang alam kung saan sya pupunta.

"Miss, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it " sabay pulot sa suklay ko

"Hindi ka kasi tumitingin sa dinadaanan mo eh!" kasi naman magugulo na naman tung buhok ko.

I tried to be calm pero hindi nakayanan. Short-tempered ako, agang-aga, first day of class pa. Sino ang matutuwa sa nangyari?

"Sorry Miss, naliligaw kasi ako, bago pa kasi ako dito eh" He said in a low voice

Napatunganga ako, sinigawan ko sya. Yet hindi ko alam na bago pala talaga sya dito. I didn't trust my instict, pinangunahan ko yung pride at galit ko. I felt sorry at pity to what I did.

"Naku, I'm sorry. May I help you?" Bawi ko naman

"No, you don't have to be sorry, It's my fault. But, May i ask you a favor? If you don't mind" He said with matching smile na paranng nahihiya

I cannot deny the fact that he's handsome and good-looking. I stood in front of him, nakatulala and just looking to his angelic face. Nasa between 6'1 to 6'2 ang height nya, Ang kinis at puti ng face nya, parang walang pores at makakaila mo talagang anak mayaman.

"Hello Miss?" He waved his hands in front of my face

He look at me straight to my eyes,

And our eyes met each other, and then I got back to my senses.

"Oo, naman" binaling ko na lang yung attention ko para hindi mapahiya

"Kanina pa kasi ako nalilito kakahanap sa 4-Chronicles A, pwede mo ba akong tulungan hanapin kung saang room yun?"

I don't know why, I haven't even know his name yet and I even don't know him personally but I am physically attracted to this guy, My smile reached till my ears. You know irony. I just smiled and said sure.

"Miss, are you sick? May sakit ka ba?" Ako maysakit ako sayo, Oo.

Natanong siguro nito, napapatagal kasi akong sumagot sa kanya. I'm just in awe looking at him doing nothing.

"Wala no, classmates lang pala tayo. You're lucky isang maganda pa na katulad ang nabangga mo" I said to lighten up the mood

He just smiled and laughed a bit

So, papunta kaming 5th floor kung saan located yung room namin. Sumakay kami ng elevator at nag-usap ng konti.

"You said awhile ago that you're new here. So san ka pala nagschool before?" Im starting to open a topic to break the silence

"Geometric Chemistry High sa U.S, My Family and I lived there kasi" He responded

Mayaman talaga to! Hindi naman ako nagtaka, kung sabagay sa kutis palang at mukha mukhang mayaman na.

"Pero ba't andito ka sa Philippines?" I curiously asked

"I insisted to them. I need new environment." sagot niya

Hindi na ako nagtanong pa, baka magcross ako between the lines, lagot na. Tahimik na naman ang elevator, parang na-paparalyze ako, ang tahimik. Hindi ko matiis! Pagtingin ko nasa 3nd floor pa kami, ang tagal, kaya I asked his name instead.

"By the way whats your name?" I said while smiling at him, I'm really doing my best to look good and be friendly to him

"I'm John Daniel Cruz" he smiled at me cutely

Inabot ko kamay ko para makipag-shakehands

"Im Catherine Mae Bersola and Welcome to Fortrich International School" I greeted him

Pumasok na kami sa Room. No one noticed us kasi busy sila lahat. Busy chit-chatting to their old friends and story telling about their summer vacation.

First Day of class, Expected talaga na early birds ang mga students, dahil sa sobrang excited. Saktong-sakto may dalawa lamang chairs na natitira dun. Umupo na kami, at magkatabi pa.
