CHAPTER 14

It was yet another night of nightmare.

Your screaming and crying could be heard again.

"Jaerin ah ileona!" 

Guess who is it this time?

It was Kai again.

You woke up with teary eyes and hugged him immediately. He was stunned. You did not know why you hug him either; you did not hug Kai the first time when he woke you up nor did you hug Suho.

"M-Mianhae." You broke off from the hug and wiped your eyes.

"Nightmare again?" He asked as he caressed your cheeks.

"Nae." You sighed.

"Need me to sleep with you?" 

You nodded shyly and he smirked.

"Wipe that smirk off your face." You rolled your eyes.

"Wae? Too much for you to handle huh?" He asked playfully.

"Go to sleep." You threw a pillow at him and lay back down and faced your back towards him. 

A few minutes later, you felt his weight pressed down against the mattress and the next thing you know is that you felt a pair of hands wrapped around your waist.

Your eyes rounded and you felt your heart racing.

"Asleep?" Kai whispered into your ears.

You did not response and pretended to sleep.

"That's pretty fast. Well, i don't know if this is right but i think i'm in love with you. Goodnight and sweets dreams Jaerin ah." He kissed your head and snuggled into the crook of your neck.

*Is he sleeping talking? H-He loves me?* You thought. 

*I was saved by him once again.* And you smiled to yourself.

You woke up and found yourself still in Kai's embrace. You felt his warm breath against your neck and shivered. You turned your body to face him, he was already awake and starring at you. He was twirling your hair around his finger. 

"Good morning." He smiled sweetly.

"G-Good morning." You were stuttering. You don't know what to do, whether to continue being in his arms or get up for breakfast.

"NOONA!" Sehun swung open the door and found the both of you in bed. His jaws were hanging.

"J-Jongin? N-Noona? D-Did you two...?" His eyes rounded and he was pointing at the both of you with his jaws still hanging.

You already knew what he was thinking.

"I-It's not what you're thinking Sehun ah! I-I had a nightmare last night so he accompanied me to sleep!" You sat right up on your bed immediately and explained.

"O-Oh." He said blandly.

"Anyway, i'm here to tell you that breakfast is ready." He said with a faint smile and left the room.

"I-I'm going to wash up." You got up and walked towards the bathroom. 

When you were about to enter, Kai embraced you from the back.

"See you later." He whispered and kissed your temple before hopping out of the room happily.

*Why is he doing this?* You were still surprised by his sudden actions.

He kissed your head last night, and he kissed your temple this morning.

"Good morning oppas!" You greeted, trying to avoid Kai's gaze as you felt him looking at you.

"Good morning Jaerin ah." They all said in unison.

"Morning noona." Sehun greeted in a low voice.

You looked at him but he avoided your gaze. You wondered what's wrong with him. Ever since he saw you and Kai in the room, he wasn't that cheerful anymore.

After breakfast, you decided to have a talk with him.

"Sehunnie, can we talk?" You asked.

He nodded and walked towards his room, you followed.

You shut the door behind you and sat next to him on the bed.

"May i know what's wrong? Why are you so moody and cold towards me this morning? Did i do something wrong?" You shot him a bunch of questions. You were obviously very worried because of his sudden attitude towards you. 

It was silent for a moment, but he finally decided to speak up.

"I guess it's time i should tell you this, Jaerin ah." He said, calling you by your name. "I bet you didn't even notice that i like you." He continued while looking on the ground and fidget around with the hem of his shirt.

I bet you didn't even notice that i like you.

And that's two confessions in a day. 

"What--"

"I know what you're thinking," He cut you off. "I like you as a woman, not a noona or a friend."

"I know you like someone who acts like a man and who is mature, and i know i'm childish so is this the reason why you chose Kai over me?" He asked.

"It's not what you think Sehun ah i just--"

"I know you only treat me as your dongsaeng but now, i want to be an oppa to you, i want to show you that i can be manly and mature too. I don't want to call you a noona anymore, i want you to call me oppa. After all, i'm still older than you." He cut you off once again. You're really confuse and you don't know what's going on with him; what's going through his mind. All you know is that he's really hurt, the sadness in his voice explained everything.

"Sehun ah--"

"Oppa." He said.

"Sehun oppa, i don't need you to act manly and mature for me; i like the childish, bright and cheerful Sehun that i know in the past. I like that Sehun, not this Sehun." You said and he looked at you with a confuse look.

"And you're wrong, i only see Kai as my brother nothing more than that." You explained.

"But he doesn't see you that way..." Sehun murmured.

"So can you please call me noona again?" You pretended not to hear him and changed the topic.

"Okay, noona."

I won't be able to update much as i need to attend school already :-(. School sucks eww. And i'm sitting for my most important exam this year so i have to focus on my studies T_T.

But don't worry, i won't be going on a hiatus, i just won't be able to update as frequently as i always do :-).
