"Mom, I'm heading to school! Do you want me to take the twins with me to school?" Shay shouted, running down the staircase.
"Shay, inside voice. I'm not deaf, nor do I want to be, good lord." Erin yawned.
"Was Thea up all night again? Sorry, babe. I thought she'd be sleeping through the night by now, she is almost 1." Jay walked into the kitchen.
"I'll take her to the doctor tomorrow." Erin sat down. "Shay, breakfast is on the counter, the twins are in the living room, you can take them if you want."
"No problem, Mom. I love you, bye! Bye, Dad!" Shay grabbed a pop tart and headed toward the living room.
"He's sixteen and he's acting like the king of the world. Sounds like someone I know." Erin smirked as she turned her head toward Jay.
"Ha, Ha. Very funny. At least we don't have to take the twins to school anymore, after their 3rd-grade teacher, Mrs. Schreber, I will definitely not be returning to the school to meet their 4th-grade teacher." Jay laughed.
"She was definitely a 'female dog', if you get what I'm saying." Erin smiled. "Anyways, I finally got Thea to fall asleep, so she should be out for a bit. You thinking what I'm thinking?"
Jay grinned, "if you're thinking One Tree Hill, I'd say you're correct. I've been waiting all week to see if Nathan and Haley are gonna get back together! And Brooke and Lucas, no, no, no, Leyton is who I'm rooting for!"
"Brooke don't need a man, she's a strong independent woman, some would say she's just like me." Erin giggled, "better hurry up, we want to try and get through at least one episode."
"You get the popcorn, I'll get Netflix."
"No Netflix and chilling, though, that's what got us Thea in the first place. And I'm not saying I don't love her, but I'm saying no more Netflix and Chill." Erin winked.
"Way to bring that up," Jay stood up and grabbed a kiss before he went into the living room.
Halfway through the second episode, Thea started wailing.
"I got her," Jay stated, rushing up the steps to her room. "Erin, Thea is burning up," Jay stated, carrying her on his side as he walked into the living room.
"Here, let me feel." Erin put her hand on Thea's forehead. "I'll call the doctor, let him know we're coming."
"I'll grab the keys, meet me at the car." Jay replied, still carrying Thea.
Outside, Jay buckled Thea up and hopped in. He could tell Erin was super worried, her forehead had tons of creases to it, so he grabbed and squeezed her hand, the second he did, they all went away and she was able to relax a bit.
"Nothing's gonna happen, it's probably just a fever, everything will be fine!" Jay soothed her.
"Everything will be fine." Erin repeated to herself.
