I put my phone in my pocket as I put on my boots. I really hope I get shoes for my birthday tomorrow. It's a fact that I just found out I share a birthday with Tyler Joseph. Except, I'm 9 years younger than him.

I walked into work to see Melanie working at the register. "Hey Mel!" I said and she waved with a smile. I put my apron on along with my hairnet. I was the one to take orders to customers and clean off tables. I started taking orders to customers and cleaning off tables.

"Karter!" Sara waved from her table and I came over to give her a hug. "I missed you!" She said as I pulled away. "I just saw you fifteen minutes ago," I said and she giggled.

Through the shift, I had an easy one because usually I'll have people complain for a water drop on the table or there's a wet napkin but not today.

I put my apron with the hairnet in the pocket before waving Melanie goodbye. "See ya tomorrow!" I said as she waved back.

I got back and Sara was on the couch with a bowl of popcorn, watching a rom-com on tv. I went to my room to see a message from Josh.
