Tom's POV

I woke up to nothingness. I see no people, no skyscrapers, and even the sun refuses to glow. All around is just plain space. All is gray and gloomy. I feel something, is this what they call longingness? I miss my mum, I suddenly feel that I want to be with her. Where is she? Where am I?

I saw a light that resembles a spotlight from a distance. I ran with it, and when I reach for it, I look up to see where this light came from. But nothing, it's just plain light. I sat down in frustration, then I noticed my hands, they were not scaly and pointed anymore. I touch my face, I feel it's human again. I have a human nose again.

So this is the feeling of death. I guess it shouldn't be feared. But I'm all alone and it's dark in here. All I have is this light and I don't even know where it came from. Well, I deserve every inch of this. I only value myself and neglect everyone. Now I'm left with myself, my chest suddenly swelled. What is this? It feels like emotions piling up. It overwhelms me.

I feel the love that few people gave me. So this is how it felt to be loved and recognize love. I realize how much my mother loves me so much. Dumbledore, how foolish am I for calling him foolish? I wish he was here so he could tell me what to do.

I feel my heart beat faster, it's swelling as it beats, like I'm missing someone, but who? I was lost in my thoughts suddenly a broad voice spoke.

Then I feel some heave in my chest. What is this? It's heavy and suffocating. I feel constricted. I found myself crying until it was hard to breathe. And what's more frustrating is that I don't know why I'm feeling what I'm feeling. It's sad and numbing all I can do is cry.

"Tom Marvolo Riddle, I give my sympathy to thee. For life has been unfair to thee. " said the broad voice.

"Who's there? How did you know who I am? Do you know anything about my life, what I've done? " I quiver, I've done a lot of awful things.

"Because of thine works, thou also trotted and destroy the life of thine another half. " it continued. Then a large portrait of a very beautiful woman flashes in front of me. I realized this is the very person whom I'm missing so much.

"Whoever are you, please forgive me. I've done countless unspeakable things because of my greed and desperation to rise above others. I'm sorry I'm sorr—" I didn't realize I was sobbing again.

"I do fully understand, it's not thine fault entirely and we made a verdict. We the gods will give thee a second chance. A chance to live again, but this time differently. A step in the darkness and thy soul is as worthy as a collection for Tartarus. "

"I've done such things, what makes me qualify for this great opportunity? " I questioned.

"Life has been awfully unfair to thee, and it creates a great ripple. Thou wilt live again, this time way different from the way thou used to." The voice answered.

"Life is also unfair to her. " I refer to the woman. " Let her return as well. " I plead.

"Thou needest to ask not. We shall return her, what's a man without a woman? " I don't know what he meant but I heard a glint of mischievousness in those words. Before I could say something- I wasn't able to think through it as darkness greeted and swallowed me. Next, I saw, I woke up in a vacant lot. Then a girl about thirteen or something came to me.

"Welcome back Mr. Riddle. I hope the journey back isn't that disturbing." she said smiling.

"You knew? Where am I this time? Am I mortal again? Am I a Muggle or a wizard? " I'm pretty sure that I've confused this girl, nevertheless confusion isn't vivid on her face but amused.
