Chapter Two - Permanent

Bellatrix's POV

I woke up inside a manor. My location is like I'm in a basement, then it all came back to me all at once. All unspeakable things I've done, people I've harmed and killed, I feel every inch of their suffering I've caused. My body is tingling. I want this all gone! Please! Make this stop. It feels like all the Cruciatus Curse that I cast came all at once. I want to die for this to stop but I'm already dead.

Then I heard footsteps coming towards the place I'm in. 'please help, whoever is in there. '. The door opens and a beautiful lady came in. She wears a black laced overflowing robe, she gave me a cold smile.

"Hello there, child. I'm Persephone. Come, for now, you will be one of my maidens. Don't worry child, it won't be permanent. " she spun and walked away, feeling limp I decided to trail behind. She has this aura that made my suffering stop.

"Ahm ma'am, this is way light sentence. As far as I could remember. I've done many unspeakable things while I'm still alive. " I'm not stupid, I know I didn't deserve this.

"If there's one thing I love about you magical people is you could see through the mist. " she sat on one of her chairs, "Brushed my hair. Just call me Madam. " without knowing I already have a hairbrush on my hand.

I did what she said and started brushing her hair gently, "Madam, what did I do to deserve this? This punishment is way too light. I know what I did —"

"Child whatever you have done is not entirely your fault. " Persephone assured me but I'm not convinced, then a man came inside, he was wearing a black silk robe and a crown braided with gold. He has albino white skin and jet-black hair.

"So you already started. " he beamed. "Dear, have you filled her with the details? " he said to Persephone.

"Not yet, I was just about to but you butt in." she answered. Are they talking about me? Because I'm just literally a few inches away from them.

"Then I leave that to you then. Come out when things are ready then. By the way, lady I'm Hades or Pluto, whatever you prefer — " Persephone cleared her throat. "I leave her to you, dear. " Hades just gave a sheepish smile.

Then he went outside and I'm left alone with Persephone, again. Though I'm confused I just stayed silent. I continue to brush her hair and do whatever she told me to do.

It's been a while since I've been here in the house of Hades. It's a castle, not just a simple manor. I've been doing everything that Persephone wants me to do, though there are times that she will be out of the underworld for some time. Us (since there are other two) her maidens will be staying locked up in the basement telling us that she couldn't risk leaving us alone. But sometimes I'm locked in a different room and I loathed it.

There I suffer all things. I call it the payment period, it's where I get to pay all I've done. As much as I hate it, I know I deserve it. I would sometimes feel physical pain and there are times I heard voices in agony or gnashing of teeth. I know and remember those voices, I know to whom it belongs.

While the basement is quite large though and I don't get bored just walking around or sitting still the whole time. Sometimes I would listen to the other maidens' stories about their lives while still alive.

One moment (since you can't follow the days here or time) Persephone took me into their throne. I saw an unfamiliar man with them.

"Bellatrix Black, I was instructed to deliver thee a message, for it is I, Hermes, the messenger of the gods, who came here to tell thee that thou hast been given another chance to go back to earth and be mortal again. "
