*Harry's POV*
I woke up to Mack's side of the bed empty. It scared me a little at first. She's never up this early. I moved my hand around the whole side, and shot my head up when I didn't feel her warm presence. I started walking to the kitchen when I heard her voice. I stopped at the corner to hear what she's saying. And then I heard another familiar voice. Niall? What are they doing up? He must've been as confused as I was as to why Mack was up so early.
"Hey. What are you doing up?" he asked, grabbing a bowl, cereal and milk.
"I can't sleep." she said.
"Why? What's up?" he sat down beside her and ate while he talked. She sat there for a second before talking.
"I haven't told anyone this. Actually last night I told some stranger at a coffee shop."
"You went to a coffee shop last night?" Niall cut her off. News to me as well. Is that where she went?
"Yeah, I couldn't sleep so I went at around 2:30 or so. Anyway, that's not the point. I, uh... Yesterday, after the concert, I got offered a record deal."
"Oh my God Mack, that's amazing!" he embraced her in a hug, and I wished it was me. I'm so proud of her! Why didn't she tell me?
"Yeah, that's what I said. Until he said I'd have to stay back and record while you guys are on tour." she said slowly. I felt my knees go weak, and my shoulder hit the wall, making a loud sound. They whipped their heads around and I had to play it cool. I walked into the kitchen, rubbing my head.
"Harry? What did you do?" she asked me.
"Did you bump your head mate?" Niall asked, laughing. I gave him a death glare and he stopped. I sat down next to Mack.
"Yeah, I just ran into the wall by accident. You know me, clumsy Harry." I chuckled nervously, and turned away so the wouldn't see my face. Really dude? Clumsy Harry? I turned back to them, trying to act normal.
"So, what were you guys talking about?" They both frowned, and Niall got up from the table.
"I should leave you two alone." and he walked out of the room. I turned to face Mack, and she couldn't even make eye contact with me. Poor thing. God, this has been eating her alive and I never even noticed anything was wrong. What kind of boyfriend am I? It hurt her to talk about it, so I'd have to make the first move.
"Harry, I-"
"Babe, it's okay. I already know."
She looked up at me with tears in her eyes, and my heart shattered into a million pieces. Seeing her in pain, pains me.
"W-what do you mean?" she asked and I took her hands.
"I overheard you and Niall talking about it. Mack, you need to take this job. This is a once in a lifetime chance and-"
This time she cut me off.
"I can't just leave you Harry. I love you too much."
I kneeled down in front of her and wrapped my arms around her waist.
"I love you too. So so much. And that's why you have to take this job. I'd be the world's worst boyfriend if I kept you from an opportunity like this."
I wiped a tear from her face, and she cracked a small smile.
"And there's always breaks. I get breaks from tour all the time. And I'm going to spend every one of them to come see you." I said.
"Yeah, and I'm sure I'll get breaks a lot too. And I'm going to use all of those to come see you. And we can call each other everyday."
"And these weeks will fly by. I promise, we'll be okay. And we still have a little bit of time right?" I asked.
