The wonders of life

They say life is a race, a challenge to face.

At times a graceful glide,

At times a treacherous fall.

Life is worth the same to all, irrespective

That they be big or small,

Rich or poor, white or black,

Thin or fat, tall or short.

Life has its splendors, life has its blunders,

Like the innocent smile of an infant,

The silent cries of the love struck teen.

O the wondrous moments that life offers.

To some life's a curse, to some a boon.

To some a challenge, to some a burden.

To me life is clay, wet clay.

We shape our life, shape it to our will.

Sometimes the clay is too wet,

Sometimes too dry.

That doesn't spoil it, we just need to add

More soil or water to balance it out.

Sometime we fail, make mistakes,

Our pots are deformed... don't lose heart.

Let us break them, powder them, wet it

And start all over again!
