Nic's POV

"Are you insane? Blind? What the fuck is wrong with you bringing HER to my place?huh? From all the people you could've brought, you brought her." Rita fumed, angrily. She has been ranting and cursing at me for bringing Lauren to her house just a few minutes ago. I can never forget her reaction when I walked in with Lauren by my side; She screamed 'fucking stupid white people' which has nothing to do with our situation, and dragged me here, in her room, just to question me about my insanity.

"Rita, can you just hear me out? You've been ranting for the past ten minutes." I said, irritated completely. This girl can't shut up. She's asking questions after questions with no answer being given from me. Like, How can I answer your fucking questions if you don't give me the chance to?!!

We stood face to face, behind her bedroom door, her hands on her hips and her eyes held rage that's growing in every second. It's like there's a fuel for the fire. You can clearly see that she's ready to burn meand to take my ashes to make a coffee for herself and drink it every morning. Don't judge, that's what happens when you live with a 22 year old who has a wild imagination. It's Rita if you get what I mean.

"Thank you." I sighed in relief before speaking again. "Look, I know you're upset and mad at me for bringing Lauren here but...." I paused. My hand gestures stopping midair. I was standing still, having troubles finishing my sentence. I realized my mouth was hung open, so I closed it instantly. "I-l don't know how to tell you this but it's not like I wanted her here." I breathed out. Rita gazed at me in horror, so I continued. "It was A MISTAKE. I never meant for this to happen. I never wanted her here. I jus-" Rita cut me off. "Excuse'm wa?" She said, raising her eyebrows. Uh oh I was expecting this. "You got a bachelor degree but act like a fucking ignorant teen. How the fuck did you survive through uni?"

I sighed heavily and took a deep breath, my eyes filled with regret. "That has nothing to do with this." I stated, hand gesturing to our situation. "I learned about the human body and meds, not about 'how to deal with your goddamn ex crush, ex bully, your brother's ex or still girlfriend who might be still related with your p-" I was caught off guard by a hard slap across my face that turned my head to the side. My mouth hung open. "Will you stop HITTING ME." I stated rather than asking.

"NOT UNTIL YOU GROW UP." Rita screamed in front of me.

"OH MY GOD. YOU GOT METAL ISSUES." I growled loudly.

"THEN WHY DID YO-"

"WHY ARE WE SCREAMING?" I cut her off with a question, breathing heavily. She sealed her lips shut, breathing heavily herself. We waited for moment to regain our breaths and to appreciate the scilence. Rita parted her lips and spoke, more quietly and folded her arms across her chest.

"Why did you bring her here if you don't even want her here?"

I closed my eyes and rubbed my forehead in frustration. I shook my head "I don't know. I just couldn't look at her while she was pouting like a small kitten." I slapped my hand on my mouth. I shouldn't have said that. She'll start questioning me.

If I thought Rita was going to burn me a minute, I thought wrong. Her body started to tremble in front of me. Her face held furry and need to slap my face the hardest she ever had. "Don't tell me you still have a crush on her."

I looked at her baffled. "What?!! NO. I don't have a crush on her. It's been years, it's not possible for me to still have a crush on her." I corrected and it's true. It's been years and my crush for Lauren was long gone. "She wanted to know where I live and I.." I shrugged, pausing. "decided to be nice."

She scoffed and laughed sarcastically. "Decided to be nice." She mocked me. I rolled my eyes. Seriously, how immature can she be? "If you don't have a crush on her and you brought here just to show her where you live then..." She paused, just like how I did when I was about to tell her I didn't want Lauren here as well. It looks like she figured something out. I leaned forward ready for what's about to come out of her mouth.
