Oakland's Baddest: Chapter 10
~A Few Weeks Later~
So I returned from the hospital. I was fine but I had so much hatred toward Eddy and Jairo it was ridiculous.
Mama already left for work and I was the first one awake so I just watched some usual morning cartoons. The hoodlums weren't usually up till about 10 so I had some chill time. I heard Arls was hanging out with a kid named Joey more. I don't know if I knew a Joey, but word is he ain't a good kid either. To my surprise when I was in the hospital, Rico, a kid who lived on the closest corner near my apartment, came by to visit. I never associated with Rico before so I found it odd but shrugged it off my shoulders.
"Morning Varo" Marco yawned as he walked into the kitchen and grabbed the milk out of the fridge.
"Aren't you cold being shirtless and standing in front of the fridge?" Marco never wore a shirt in the house anymore. I didn't like seeing more of Marco than I had to.
"I'm burning up. I think I got a fever or something. I was just going to drink some milk to cool me down, but I'm gonna take a cold shower instead. I'm sweating and shit and I've only been awake for not even 5 minutes." Damn, poor Marco. Sucks to be him.
~30 Minutes Later~
"Hey Varo" Eddy said as he walked into the living room. I just mugged him before turning my attention back to the TV. "Varo can I-"
"No fuck you Eddy. Go blow Jairo cause that's what you do anyways." I snapped back at him.
"I know you're mad-"
"You almost killed me you dipfuck! I wouldn't be here right now because of your drunk ass coming home! You kicked me out the damn window and I could have died from that alone! You're not my brother, I want you dead along with Jairo! Don't ever talk to me again, you even come near me and I will fuck you up! I have so much hate towards you, its enough to kill you!" I got up and grabbed my gun before walking out of the apartment.
"Alvaro!" He yelled after me but I started jogging down the block. I don't want him in my life, he's dead to me.
He must have sprinted because I felt him pull my arm and I just swung at his jaw till he fell back against the fence.
"Don't fuckin touch me! I hate you! You're the worst brother ever!" I sprinted down the street till I hopped a fence and ended up in one of the junk yard alleys. I sat down and rested my head in my knees. I sat there in silence till I heard that familiar laugh that reminded me of nails on a chalk board.
"What the hell are you doin now Varo?" Jairo said as I heard him walk up closer to me.
"Jairo don't, just go." Eddy said . I picked my head up and the two of them about 3 feet away from me. I simply pulled out my gun and cocked it at them.
"Y'all got 2 seconds to leave or I'm pulling it." I said between clenched teeth.
"As if you would-" I shot right at Jairo so it just barely skimmed his neck. "You little shit!" He was about to lunge but Eddy pulled him back.
"Varo I just wanna talk to you." Eddy said sympathetically. "Jairo get gone." Jairo looked at him like he was crazy but walked out of the alley.
"You can get gone too! I told you I was done!" I stood up and Eddy just sighed
"I never meant to do that to you. I wasn't in the right mind set and I was still heated from earlier-"
"That ain't no excuse! I get heated all the time at you and Marco but I would never ever pull my gun out and shoot at y'all or kick y'all out a window! That was a 2 story fall!" I can't get that memory out of my head. "How the hell you finna do a brother like that!?"
