Oakland's Baddest: Chapter 1

~Varo P.O.V.~

"Come on boys. We goin to Grandma's house. She keeps bitching at me for not bringin y'all around." I said as I held the bagel in my mouth. I grabbed my keys and headed out to my car.

As I sat in the car, I took a second and really looked at my life. When I was younger and getting into small trouble and raising hell in my house to now. I got kids, a fiancé, and not a single care in the world. It was honestly pretty crazy when I thought about it. I never saw myself changing my ways once I reached 15, but I was wrong.

"Why are we going now to see Grandma?" D1 asked as he hopped in after his brother.

"Cause she called me this morning and yelled into the phone so I told her I'd bring y'all by." I started the car and pulled out of the drive way.

"When can I dive?" D2 asked as he messed around with the safety lock on his seatbelt.

"When you can see past the steering wheel. Y'all hear about the news with Mom and I?" I rose an eyebrow and looked through the rear view mirror to see 2 boys with a confused look 'We getting married soon." I saw as their faces filled with joy and excitement and I couldn't help but crack a smile

"Really Dad? When?" D2 asked

"Whenever Mom thinks the time is right. Y'all excited?" They both nodded their heads and for the rest of the car ride we were discussing the matters of how much of a badass I am at 2k13.

We pulled up within minutes and the boys took off up to the front door. I grabbed my spare key from my glove compartment and walked up to the door. I could see the boys were more than excited to see my Mama and it reminded me of when I used to go visit my own Grandma. She was bad as fuck. No one messed with her; not even me!

"Mama! My ass is here with the youngins!" I yelled once I stepped aside. Both boys ran and attacked my Mama with a hug.

"No hug from my son?" She said in a smartass tone. I rolled my eyes but walked into her embrace. "Thank You." She said once she let go.

"Yeah Yeah, enough of that lovey dovey shit. I don't want the boys to think I'm your bitch, cause that ain't the case." I slipped off my shoes and crashed onto her couch. She took a seat in her arm chair across from me and looked at me. 'What?"

"Just you. My youngest son, the most rebellious, and here you are. 32, twin boys, and a fiancé. I still can't believe it." She shook her head with a sigh

"You proud though right?" I said with a laugh

"I'm glad your ass is done out of my house! It's so nice not having plastic on the furniture anymore or having locks on all the doors and cabinets." She laughed. Yeah, I was that bad according to my Mama

"No one said you had to have that shit! I just couldn't promise yo shit wouldn't get messed with" both boys ran and jumped onto me as I tried to lay there and relax.

"Grandma, can you tell us a story?" D1 asked as he got more comfortable on my couch.

"Let me think of one-"

"Tell them about me when I was growing up. All the incidents not just with Lexis, but with my brothers too." I laughed.

"Please Grandma!" Both boys yelled at once with even more excitement than before

"Alright, Alright." She smiled as she sat back more comfortably.

"Well it was back when I was 21. I had found out I was pregnant with my 3rd child..." She started.
