"I-I don't think I can do it," Taehyung stuttered. His hands were shaking as they held a small bouquet of flowers, and you could see fear in his eyes.

"Mr. Kim please," Seokjin said. "You would be helping so many people. And this is the last thing we'll do before sending Jungkook back and everything will go back to normal. Alright?"

"But he needs me," Taehyung argued. "If I tell him I'm not coming back... he'll... he'll be worse off than he ever was I know it he'll-"

"Mr. Kim, I told you, after this, everything will be back to normal. You'll still see him everyday. Nothing is going to change."

Taehyung didn't say anything more. He had nothing to say. The doctor was right anyways. Everything would go back to normal. Taehyung took a deep breath. He slowly opened the door to Jungkook's room, walking in on the boy eating his lunch off a light blue hospital tray.

"Hi tae!" He said through a mouthful of grilled cheese sandwich.

"Hey kook," Taehyung replied, trying to sound like his heart wasn't breaking into a million pieces just by looking at him. He did his best to keep himself composed, but Jungkook's innocent bunny smile that was like a ray of sunshine bore into Taehyung's skin and made him want to crumble to bits.

"I brought you something," he said, holding out the small bouquet. There was a red rose, a yellow tulip, a white daisy, and a pink carnation. The younger boys eyes lit up at the arrangement of color that Taehyung held in his hand.

When the flowers were handed to Jungkook, Taehyung admired the way they contrasted against the white sheets of the bed. The green stems made Jungkook's skin look even paler than it already was, but that might have been from the massive amount of blood he's lost the past 3 days because of these goddamned doctors. But the bright colors of the petals reflected in the browns of his eyes was captivating. He stared at the blossoms a few moments before turning back to the elder male.

"They're all so different," he said softly, looking up at Taehyung with big doe eyes. "The other kids at the other place only got a few kind."

"Do you know which ones they get?" Taehyung asked, pushing away the meal tray before going to sit at the edge of the bed. Jungkook pointed at the rose. The only one he recognized. Taehyung then pulled it from the rubber band that held all the flowers together. He was glad the thorns had been clipped off, he didn't want Jungkook to have yet another cut on his already heavily scarred skin.

"This is a rose," Taehyung said, holding the blossom up to Jungkook's face so he could lean foreword and smell it.

The younger boy closed his eyes while inhaling the sweet scent. The petals tickled his nose and he smiled, a small giggle escaping his lips.

"You like it?" Asked the older after witnessing Jungkook's reaction. The latter nodded. He then smelled the daisy, carnation, and tulip. Afterwards, he held them all tightly in his pale little hands.

"Which is your favorite?" Taehyung asked him. Jungkook didn't reply but only pointed back to the rose once again.

"The rose?"

Jungkook nodded.

"It's pretty," he stated. "And it smells pretty too." He then looked back up at Taehyung. "Which one do you like best, Tae?"

"The daisy."

"This one?" The younger asked, pointing to the flat flower, poking at the little yellow center.

"Mhmm," Taehyung replied.

"But it's white."

"Yep."
