They calmed down a bit for they didn't want to appear too unprofessional around the most important man in the kingdom. They walked the rest of the way in silence lasted until they reached the King's bedroom doors. They matched all the other doors in the palace except that it had a crown engraved into the golden handle. Once there Loris gave a short and swift knocked on his door and waited.

"Come in."

Loris opened the doors for Vivian so that she would not drop the tray in an attempt to juggle both the tray and the door. Then they both quickly entered the room; Vivian placed the tray of food on the King's lap and Loris tended to his laundry. They tended to everything as quickly as possible as to get out of the Kings was for the Morning. When they finished the usual tasks before either of them could even ask him if he needed anything, he waved his hand in a dismissive manner.

"Thank you, ladies, that will be all for today." He said dismissing them without even paying them much attention.

"Yes, your Majesty." Both Loris and Vivian said in unison.

The two of them respectively left his bedroom shutting the door behind them for there were no guards around. They were silent the whole way down the hall. That was because both of them were in deep thought. While Loris was probably planning out how best to attend to their chores Vivian was thinking about other things. 'That's it! He wanted me her. He wanted to show his gratitude and he just brushes me off just like that. If he is just going to ignore me then why am I even here then?'

Her thoughts continued on in this manner for a long while. This went on to the point she didn't see patrolling guards coming right at her and she rammed right into him. The guard was coming from the opposite direction she was going and when they collided with one another it knocked Vivian right off her feet. She also dropped the basket of laundry they had collected from the King's room and all his clothes went into the air. Vivian then began to scramble to get all the cloths back into the basket.

The guard immediately bent down and offered a hand by helping her picks up the clothes that fell. Then when they were done, he began to help her up and get her back on her feet. Without really thinking Vivian took the guard's hand but, with her metallic hand. It was too late to pull away so she carefully used the guard's hand to get back up. Once up she quickly pulled her hand away and instinctively tried to conceal her hand although it was too late. She even began to blush due to the embarrassing situation.

"I'm so sorry officer, I didn't see you there."

"Oh no miss, the fault was all mine." He paused for a moment looking her over. Her best guess was that he was trying to remember if he had ever seen her before.

"Why, I believe we have never met before Miss." Vivian knew that he had noticed her cyborg hand she was still attempting to hide. However, it didn't' seem to bother him. Still she could help but try to move her hand from view.

"I'm Miss Ethane sir and well I'm new here."

"May I please be as bold as to ask your first name, Miss Ethane?" The guard asked.

"It's Vivian sir and I'm Loris Mane!" Loris chimed in with a big grin.

"Well I'm very pleased to meet you Miss Ethane and Miss Mane. My name is Captain Jared. I hope to see you around"

"The pleasure is all ours!" Loris couldn't stop grinding and Vivian's eyes widened and glanced towards the woman.

They curtsied before parting ways down the hall. The ladies eyes followed him for a second before turning and continue walking their way down the hall. There was silence for a few seconds for the ladies where both stunned by the handsome guard. That was before Loris decided to finally speak breaking that silence. Which made sense for see was the chatty one of the two of them. They literally said two words to one another for the whole trip and it was literally as follows
