Several months had passed since the princess has fallen into a deep sleep. The Kingdom was rather dark and dreary state. Vivian had neglected her duties because she just spent her time reveling in her success then paying attention to the needs of her people. However, it seemed the whole kingdom knew what had happened to their Princess without actually being told directly. Even the weather seemed affected. The skies always seemed overcast. The only thought of hope they had now was that the letter sent was false and that Princess Soren would one day return to the Kingdom.
They hoped upon her arrival Soren would be able to save them from this dark and dismal time. This is because they had no true ruler to guide them through these hard times. The kingdom went into a great state of panic and disorder. Stories of stores be pillaged by robbers for days on end buildings set on fire. The people of New London haven't gone to the market anymore for fear of the mobs forming to get whatever it was the people desired. Although they were grateful Vivian had disappeared and her reign at its end. They were still in great need of a good ruler to return order to the Kingdom.
The poor kingdom didn't know their Princes were laid to rest in a wooden coffin of golden leaves with a glass lid. She was on the hill side near the little alien's cottage were the aliens would watch over her as she rested.
The alien's faith in Soren and that she would one day return to them had never wavered. They never stopped believing that she would one day awaken and come back to them. In turn they never wavered in guarding her at all times no matter what.
It didn't matter if it was day or night, sleet or snow they were always one little alien standing guard and keeping her company at all times. They did this for no one knew if she was sleeping or dead and that is why they watched over her and kept her from any harm. Especially because the whereabouts of the Queen had remained unknown, this made the people nervous but, not to scared. Vivian would come from time to time to check up on Soren to make sure she had not been awakened. To reassure her that she was indeed free.
Although she doubted it would ever happen, she had to make sure from time to time when she had some doubts and need reassurance and reminder of what she had accomplished. In one of the visits in the morning she hid in the trees like usual to not be spotted by the alien that was watching over her at the time. She learned that they kept guard over Soren too very early on but insisted on checking anyways.
Suddenly a tall stranger emerged from the forest of trees on a magnificent white horse. He looked familiar to Vivian but, she couldn't quite remember his name or where she had seen him before. Maybe it was just the one of many people she passed by in the palace. Or a possible person from her old village. Still she crouched down and remained quiet as she observed the scene before her.
She did this rationalizing the feeling she had in the pit of her stomach. Then deciding not to give it second thought. The stranger had road always out of the forest before deciding to dismount his horse and walking the rest of the way. The alien stood up on high alert deciding on if h should call upon his other siblings or not. PoPo stood guard and he was very concerned what this stranger might do. Then the Stranger walked up to the alien. The aliens raised his hands as to say he meant no harm which eased PoPo a bit.
"Hello their friend, I mean no harm."
The stranger continued to walk closer. His eyes then diverted to Soren before speaking again.
"This must be the lovely Princess Soren."
He glanced at the alien while standing at her coffin. Turning to admiring how delicately she was laid there. The alien looked up from under his hat.
"Yes, she is good sir."
And the stranger bent over to her lifted the glass lid of the coffin.
"I love you Soren." The stranger whispered in her ear, gave her a kiss on the forehead and bowed his head out of respect.
