Chapter Seven: From The Pharmacist Building

Four days have passed, before I knew it. And within those four days, I haven't visited the castle, not even once. But I wanted to check and see how Shirayuki-san is doing. The red head actually went home the other night, packing her stuff and saying she was moving to the Pharmacist Building already. I had also congratulated her for passing the exams, and even more, she asked if I wanted to come and stay with her in the building! Of course, I declined, saying that I was fine in staying here at the apartment because I have Yoko.

However, there was some sort of foreshadowing in what I told her. These were the words I told her: "It's okay, don't worry about me, Shirayuki-san. We can still see each." Though I don't think she realize that.

"Yoko," I said her name, not even giving a glance to my side to check if she was there. She always was, because she always starts the first shift of the day there at the flower shop. "I'll be going out today, probably until the afternoon. You're busy today, I presume?" Finally turning to lock eyes with Yoko, I see her arranging the flowers at the stand with a calm yet happy smile on her face.

Dusting her hands, Yoko nods in reply. "Yes, actually that was what I was about to say. Looks like we're both busy sometimes, eh?" For a second there, sadness flashed through her eyes. I was about to reconsider, but decided against it.

"Here," passing a bag in her hands, I smiled, "You can have that. Its food, so eat it when you're hungry, m'kay?"

"O-Of course! Thank you very much, Kaiya!"

"No need to thank me," I protested, waving my hand, "Well, I'll be off then. See you!"

And off I go, walking towards the castle whilst I think of almost irrelevant things.

Soon enough, I arrived at Wistal Castle. I believe it was about nine o'clock, remembering that I left around eight thirty.

"Oooh??! Is that you, Tsukamoto-dono?!" It was the gatekeepers, in truth, I did kind of miss them while I was away. I see them every time I go through here, and it sort of eases me.

"Morning," I greeted with a small smile, waving slightly to them once I was closer. "Um, is it okay if I go inside?" Going straight to the point, I wanted to see Shirayuki-san already.

"Right! We'll see you later when you're going out!" Enthusiastically said the younger of the two, grinning as he waved his hand.

It took me awhile to know where Shirayuki-san is. Firstly, I had to ask a few guards I see, because I didn't get to see Mitsuhide-san nor Kiki-san. And Zen, not even I have seen him yet. I guess he was busy, so I had to ask a guard on their whereabouts. "Um, I haven't seen Prince Zen nor his aides anywhere, may I know where they are?"

The guard, thinking, cleared his throat. "I believe that I saw them leave the castle. Other than that, there is nothing else I know."

They left?? Where to? You know, never mind that, I'll just ask Shirayuki-san if she knows anything about this. Before thanking and leaving the guard be, I asked him if he saw a girl with apple red hair.

"I heard she's a apprentice of one of the Royal Court Herbalists. So she's in the Pharmacy, the building at the right."

"Alright! Thank you, sir!"

And off again I go, to the said Pharmacy where Shirayuki-san probably is. I hope she's having fun, and I doubt that she's not. I enter the building anyway, excusing myself in case.
