~~Zoey's POV~~
I finally sat up and barely had time to give her a frustrated glare, when she grabbed my hand and dragged me upstairs. She sat me down on the bed and searched through her drawers for something. As I curiously tried to see what she was rummaging for, I heard Rythian's voice from downstairs.
"Come out, you worthless rat!" He spat, and it sounded like it was from the kitchen.
My mind slowly started processing what was happening. I was becoming a Blaze. Rythian, downstairs, was already slightly coo-coo, and Chyna was not who she said she was. "A Blaze?" I blurted, but Chyna ignored me anyways. She kept her eyes on the drawers, until she'd checked through all of them (At which point she started absent-mindedly searching through her wardrobe).
"Rythian wants me, Zoey. I'm trying to find my Ender Bane." Chyna explained emotionlessly. She briefly stopped searching. "And you're staying here."
"Chyna, nobleness isn't going to help anyone-" I tried to explain.
"The world will fall apart!" She shouted at me, before slamming her fist into the wardrobe. A glowing, violet dagger dropped down from the top. "I've found it." She whispered to herself. She started walking out, but I grabbed her forearm and turned her back around.
"Who are you, Chyna?" I asked her. "I've known you all my life, and I know this isn't normal knowledge. When did you learn this?"
She groaned. "Now's not the time!"
I felt sudden heat. "Now is the time, Chyna! You're about to go down there and be slaughtered by a goddamn Enderman! Tell me!" I shouted at her.
"Zoey, he's going to know we're here now." Chyna shook her head. I heard grumbling from downstairs. "I'm a Goddess, okay? My real name is Shina. Are you happy yet?!"
I let go of her arm, and stumbled back. She lied to me. She lied to me. She lied to me. "You lied to me?!" I shouted at her, feeling fury spread. "We've known each other since we were only kids, and you have been lying to me this entire time?!" I sobbed and felt the power of my body fill up in my hands. "You... You lied!"
Rythian had come fully up the stairs now. The ground started shaking. I saw Rythian... The state he was in.
"Rythian?" I asked, with a sudden change of heart.
"Zoey, what's happened to you?" He pushed Shina out of the way and hugged me. "Are you okay?"
"Ch-Chyna..." I stuttered. "She lied, Rythian. For about twenty years, she lied...." I sobbed into his chest.
"I know. I heard." He squeezed me and then turned to Shina. The Goddess had run downstairs though, and was getting to the door. "She doesn't deserve to live. Let's get her." He shot me a smile.
We ran, hand in hand, towards Shina, with joint fury. We heard the ground around us cracking, and the house collapsing. Shina ran towards the river, and started swimming in it.
"Try and get me in the water!" She teased. I felt anger rise up. First she lied to me and then she teased me?!
Rythian growled, and a visible crack split across the land plot where my house sat. He punched a nearby tree, which shattered, and then started shooting random fireballs of dark matter. The area around us was falling. Shina noticed and got out the water on the other side.
"Guys!" She shouted over cracking earth. "I- I'm sorry!"
This made Rythian angrier. He shot a clear stream of dark matter into the sky, which filled it with clouds and thunder.
"Please! Look at Zoey's house! Look at what you've done to it!" She bargained. "Ryth, the world will collapse if you misuse your powers. There are too many immortals in the world."
"Well then, why don't you die, Goddess!" He hissed, shooting a dark matter ball at her. She dodged and looked down at her bracelet.
"Maybe I will!" She screamed back, before ripping her bracelet off. A final, large crack snapped its way through the river between them. "This is the void! This is where all the monsters go when they die, Rythian! You first!"
I looked at Rythian, and then at Shina. She looked me in the eye, only briefly, and looked back down. Rythian closed his eyes and concentrated, by the looks of it. Next thing I knew, Rythian's cold hand was no longer in my (As I realised) fiery one. I looked over at Shina, to see Rythian behind her. They had a couple of words together, before Rythian started walking away from us both. He took one last turn at me, winked, and continued over the hill. I looked at Shina, with powers seething through me, and felt the urge to throw fireballs at her. What harm would it do? Ryth can do it, why can't I?
I put my hand up to her, aimed, and felt a surge of power through to my hand. The fireball knocked me backwards, and I fell against some rock. I hazily closed my eyes...
~~Shina's POV~~
I looked at the damage that was done. Cracked landscapes scattered across the once grand and rolling hills, as wildlife went about their daily business. My house sat right... There, where the oversized breakage lay. I looked at Zoey. The poor girl had no idea. I shouldn't have lied. I lied to her. For about twenty years. Twenty years.
I was thinking about the wreckage, when I heard footsteps. Quick footsteps. I turned slowly, just to see Rythian bombarding his way towards me. He hit me with force, and I couldn't stop myself before I felt myself falling. Falling through eternity. I watched as the world that I used to know became a crack in pure black, before becoming nothing. The crack was sealed. With me on the wrong side.
