Expand, broaden your vocabulary when you type. Don't know how? Read other stories, fanfiction or real novels (preferably that). Google a couple synonyms for one word and learn those two words have the same definition.
Brilliant and vivid have the same definition.
Intense and force are synonyms.
Is the person jumping?
Jumping is an overused term and a little weak. Try strengthening it.
They leaped into the air like a frog!
The fog was so thick, you couldn't see?
Thick is simple, use dense or murky.
Try something new! Your audience will like it when you use terms that aren't used that often.
