Requested by Girly-Tomboy I kinda changed it around a little, hope you like it!

Prompt:  The reader feels like she's been forgotten, and her brothers only care for each other.

You watched as your brothers cut the last head off the vampire they were fighting and checked each other to make sure they were okay. Instead of checking for you, they walked out of the warehouse building and left you slumped against a wall, feeling lightheaded from where the vampire had thrown you against it.

As always you went through a full body checklist in your head. You felt a sharp pain on your head and touched it with your hand, pulling it back covered in blood.   You wiped it off on your shirt and followed them to the Impala where they were talking merrily, congratulating each other on a successful hunt, almost ready to leave you behind. You slump into the seat just as Dean goes into reverse.

You lean against the Impala door, watching the scenery pass by. Your brother's voices and familiar hum of the Impala lull you to sleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You wake up still in the Impala, but your brothers were nowhere to be seen. Nothing was able to be seen, actually. It was pitch black. You sighed, they left you asleep in the Impala... again. You grab your phone and turn on the flashlight so you can find your way to a light switch. You find the nearest one and turn to head to your room.
You were so tired that you missed the ruffle of feathers behind you and completely ran into your best friend Gabriel when you turned around.  You wearily looked up at the Trickster and tried to put on a smile, "Oh, hey Gabe.  Didn't see you there." He frowned down at you, noticing your fatigue and the blood plastered to your head.  "Where are your brothers, Y/n?"  He knew the answer, but he wanted to see what you would say.
You looked around for a moment, forgetting they left you in the car, "I don't know." You shrugged and walked towards the garage door once more.  Before you could make it to the stairs you got dizzy and collapsed to ground.  You felt like you were slow motion and waited for your body to slam against the pavement, but two strong arms caught you just in time.  The dizziness began to overwhelm you and you felt yourself being lifted before you passed out.
  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You woke up for the second time that night, this time on your bed.  You looked around your room and noticed an angry archangel staring down at you.  "What happened to you out there, y/n?"  You sat up and noticed all your previous wounds had been healed, no doubt thanks to your nearby angel friend.  You shrugged and looked anywhere but Gabriel, "I don't know, I just got a little banged up during the hunt.  I'm fine."

The Trickster rolled his eyes, "Yeah if fine is eating dirt, then you were fantastic."  You rolled your eyes at his sarcasm, "I'm fine, Gabe.  I appreciate you healing me, but I would've been alright.  It was just a couple scratches."  Gabriel was fuming, "A couple scratches?! You could barely walk! And no thanks to those lumberjack brothers of yours."

You immediately defended them, that being your initial reaction, "Hey, they had to take care of themselves too.  And I'm a big girl, I don't need them to hold my hand."  Even though these words left your mouth, you couldn't help but feel hurt... More than hurt.  Forgotten.

Gabriel read your thoughts, and his heart ached for you.  No one should have to sit in the background and watch as they people who were supposed to cherish them ignore them completely.

What made it worse is that your brothers only cared for each other.  They would go to the ends of the earth for no one but each other, and made sure it was known often, but have never expressed the same sentiments to their baby sister.

They claimed they would do anything for family.  The fact that they didn't consider you with that importance tore you apart.  But as you had been doing for as long as you could remember, you put on a brave face and pretended like it didn't matter.

Gabriel had seen through your facade, however.  He witnessed what happened after the hunt while he had checking up on you, making sure you were okay.  He watched your brothers dust themselves off as you almost got killed by the last vamp.  He watched how you tried to ignore the pain in your head and almost run after your brothers so they wouldn't forget you again.  He even saw how they went to bed without even waking you up from the back of the Impala.

To put it into words, he was infuriated.  Not only at their actions, but yours.  You acted like this was a normal, everyday occurrence, which it was, but you didn't even try to so something about it.  You acted like everything was fine while under the surface, you were a mess.

He decided then, you weren't going to do anything about it.  You were too stubborn.  That leaves him.

You watched as several emotions passed over your friends face before resting on resolve.  He came to the side of your bed and sat down.  "I know you think what they're doing to you is okay, but its not.  And if you won't do something about it, I will.  They might have forgotten about you, but I never will"  After a moment passed a look of realization passed your face and your eyes widened.  You opened your mouth to protest but Gabriel pressed two fingers to your forehead and guided you body softly back onto your bed.  He laid a blanket over your peaceful form and tucked a stray hair behind your ear before sighing and disappearing.
