You sat leaning against your bed curled up into a ball trying, unsuccessfully, to calm your palpating heart. "Y/N?" You didn't recognize that voice, it wasn't your brothers. Your breathing got heavier. "Y/n, it's Cas, I'm coming in." You recalled the hurt on his face when you didn't want to stay with him. He probably hates me now. You began crying audibly. Cas could hear your increasing heart rate and bursted into the room.

You felt Cas wrap his arms around you, and you struggled to get out of it, but his arms were too strong. You slumped back in defeat. You could hear him whispering softly to you, and surprisingly, it was comforting. You began to calm down and eventually your heart beat went back to normal and your sobs subsided to tears.

You sat up from your position on Cas's chest and looked down shyly, "Thanks Castiel." Cas guided your heart face up to meet his, "It's Cas." That one gesture made you smile. He was your friend now. You reached around and gave him a hug which he gladly returned. "Now are you ready to meet the others?" You sigh heavily and nodded. Cas stood and pulled you up with him.

He held your hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze before leading you out the door. You took deep breaths as you walked down the hallway. When you made it to the library you stopped. Cas turned out to be alright. Maybe these guys will too.

You took a final deep breath before looking at the group of supernatural beings and giving them a smile. They all warmly smiled back and you sat down at the table. You spent hours talking to them, forgetting your shyness completely. You liked all of them, and they all loved you. You and the lavishly dressed demon were quite fond of each other for some reason, more than the rest. And you thought you'd have lots of fun playing pranks with the help of Gabe.

All the while your brothers smiled proudly at you from behind. You were proud of yourself too.
