Jay's POV
I looked over my shoulder laughing as Nathan pulled me down the road laughing also. I smile at him bringing us to a stop.
"God, I love you." I say pulling him into a kiss.
"I love you too Jay." Nathan grins pulling out of the kiss. "Now come on! We've got a long way to California." I laugh at him before running down the side of the road with him again. We've got over 3000 miles to go to get from Texas to California. I'm glad I'm doing this with Nathan. He's the only person I would ever want to run away with.
"Nathan, let's stop for a little while. Just to rest." I say pulling him to a stop.
Alright. I just want to get there as soon as we can." Nathan smiles. "I want to forget all about the people that told us that we couldn't be together, I want to just be happy with you Jay." Nathan says looking up at the clear blue sky.
"And you know what? We're going to be happy." I tell him kissing his temple. "Remember how they said we shouldn't throw our lives away?"
"Well yeah, it's kind of like forced into my mind." Nathan sighs.
"Alright how about that song, you know the one by Boys Like Girls." I smile at him.
"Bullshit." Nathan coughs. I slap his arm and laugh at him.
"Alright not every boy like girls, but it's a band name. Get over it." I laugh at him.
"Jay where are you trying to go with this. How can I song do anything for this kind of thing?" Nathan asks.

I sing in his ear. "That's how." I tell him.

"Finally free." I think to myself. I'm finally away from all of those people that have doubted me. Who said that I was a freak for being gay. For loving Nathan. Well they were wrong. I'm not a freak, I don't care if I'm gay, I love Nathan. And we've just made The Great Escape.
