"Cathrine as a concusion and a fractured left wrist." Dr. Fawn told my dad. I was being examined by the woman doctor.

"It's Cathy not Cathrine." I corrected.

"Well were going to put her in a cast and she gets a week off from school for the concusion. what color cast would you like?" She turned to me.

"Lime green." I said. That was my favorite color.

After getting a cast plastered to my wrist, I went home and walked to Amberello with a bucket of his feed He was lying down in his stall looking depressed, sensing I was hurt. His Rambo light blue jacket matched his light blue earnet and nylon halter. I smiled at him as I unlocked the stall door. It was hard because I used the left hand to do stall opening.

"Hey bud." I walked over to him, giving him some banana slices, a peppermint, and his scoops of food I filled up in his red bucket, I also got the hose and filled up all the water buckets, then gave everyone their food and supplements.  Amberello then kicked his door.

"Neigh!" He neighed.

"Fine I'll clean your bedding." I yelled. I got a pitchfork and shovled out the dirty flax bedding. Everyone had flax because we grew it on our field. I cleaned everyone's stall because they all needed it.

"Yo, Cath. Alex Chambers is on the phone. Isn't he the albino kid?" Amanda asked, walking into the barn with the house phone.

"He's not albino, he's just white and really light blonde." I said. I took the phone. "Hello?" I greeted.

"Hi Cathy, it's Alex. Uh how does your sister know me?" He asked.

"God only knows. Stop eves dropping!" I teased.

"Anyway, umm. Tom is cheating on you." He said.

"No! With who?" I asked, biting my nails that were on my good hand.

"With Ginger." He gulped, bracing for my fiery fury I was about to release.

I started screaming and yelling with some curses.

"Calm down Cathy, just dump him." He said.

"Well, he hasn't been hanging around me, and I think I'm over him." I said. I took out my phone and texted Tom.

"Also umm, can you teach me reining?" He asked.

"Sure, come over whenever." I said. Tom texted back, and I felt sorry for breaking up over text, and said were over.

"Thanks." He replied.

"Hey your still in guy scouts right?" I asked.

"You mean boyscouts?" He said in a questioning tone. As my phone buzzed and Tom said alright, because I felt the same I am over.

"Yeah, and I'm broken up with Tom now." I sighed.

"Don't worry Cath, theres always more guys, its only middle school you got a long time." He said, making me feel better.

"Thanks Alex." I told him. "So about riding, can you come over now?" I asked.

"Now? Yeah." He cheerfully said.

"Okay, see you in a bit." I smiled.

"Later." He said.

I kinda felt like Alex could be a new friend, he is a nice kid, who always seemed to be liked by every girl in school; I liked him for how he isn't a player or cheater since he was cheated on and hasn't had a grlfriend since the sixth grade. I got Amberello out and Zoro since Alex used to come over and always enjoy riding him.

Alex came over and hugged Zoro, he missed the old Azteca. Now it was time for him to learn reining on a true Azteca who knows good reining. I just might be able to save the horses from being slaughtered if I win some competetions with my camp and Alex. After I taught Alex basics of grooming and tacking, then bridling a horse without a halter on, we set out to the indoor arena.
