I could feel the light streaming in from the window. It tried to hide under the covers, to get back to the dark and fall asleep, but it was no use.

My eyes started to open. When they completely opened, I saw myself in a big room. I remembered last night coming here and just falling straight asleep. I don't know where Simon is. I haven't seen him since we got back to the Institute.

I rolled out of bed. I stretched my arms and legs before I went over to my bag, that was at the foot of the bed. I'm thankful that I went to Luke's house and got my stuff before I left. I'm just not happy that when I was there, I learned some bad stuff about him.

I walked into the bathroom and looked a myself in the mirror. My eyes widened at the sight of myself. My hair was all tangled in knots and the clothes Isabelle gave me were ripped in some places due to the fact that I kind've fought with a Forsaken.

I took all the clothes off and went into the shower. The hot water on my skin felt amazing. I think this was the first time I've been extremely relaxed since my mother went missing. I rinsed my hair and put in some Shampoo and Conditioner. I'd get lost in my thoughts from time to time.

The minute I stepped out of the shower, someone knocked on my door. I assumed It was Simon. I grabbed a towel and wrapped it around my small body. It was like a short dress on me. But it was the perfect length. I walked to the door and opened it. I immediately regretted it.

Standing there was Jace. I pulled the towel closer to my body and tightened it, feeling as if his gaze could make it just fall off. He looked at me.

"Morning." He said.

"Morning." I replied in a small voice.

"So, we were all deciding to go to Taki's this morning for breakfast. We wanted to know if you wanted to come?" Jace asked me.

"What's Taki's?"

"It's this amazing restaurant. It's for everyone. You need to come."

I sighed. I didn't want to stay in the Institute with no other Shadowhunters. Simon was here but if something happened, which I doubt, how will he be able to fight. Hodge is like 63, an exaggeration, I don't know if he'll be able to fight. I don't even know if he can fight. So if something happens, I don't want to see two people die.

"Um, alright. Just let me get changed first."

"Actually you look great now." He said with a smirk. I scowled at him before I closed the door. I could hear him laughing even with the door closed. I rolled my eyes and kicked the door, signalling for him to Shut Up.

I went over to my bag and opened it. I put all my clothes on the bed and looked threw them all. I didn't have that many choices considering I didn't keep a lot of clothes at Luke's, but it was enough to last me a week. Hopefully these Shadowhunters will let me go to the mall and get something. You know, since practically everything in my house is gone.

I finally picked a turquoise long sleeve and jeans. I brushed my hair out. It came out wavy since I'd just gotten out of the shower. I went to the door and put my combat boots on and I threw on my leather jacket. I quickly made sure the mortal cup was still in the inside pocket. I sighed in relief when it was.

I stepped out of the room. I looked around and I saw Isabelle. She was walking towards me. Her black hair fell past her shoulders. Isabelle was tall. Taller in heels. She was so gorgeous. She could be a Victorias Secret Model. She was wearing a black tank top and jeans. Wearing high heel combat boots. Her whip was wrapped around her wrist as a bracelet.

"Come on, we're leaving." She said as she walked past me. She didn't even bother to stop. I hurried after her. I walked in the same pace as her.

"Where's Simon?" I asked.
