"Okay so the first solubility rule is that all acetates, nitrates, ammonium, and group one compounds are soluble," I explain as he notes it down with an unreadable expression.
What if he didn't understand anything? He'll fail and then not get into university. No job would accept him and will then end up homeless. I'll find out he died from starvation or..
"Adelaide are you okay? You look like you've seen a murder," Xavier stares at me with concern.
I gaze at my watch and realize it's half past two.
"Ya, I'm fine. We went further ahead than needed so we can stop here." He immediately shuts his book and notebook.
"Thank you Adelaide; I actually understand."
"Thank you for helping me in math. I thought I was a hopeless case. These area bounded questions were destroying my brain." I look at my book and notice him smiling from the corner of my eyes.
"Oh I just remembered my mom wanted me to give you something to give it to your mom. It's in my room," I stand up and he follows my action.
"Jeez Adelaide is this your way of getting me into your room?" He teases me as I flick my pencil at him
"In your wildest dreams Benjamin," I ascend the stairs while he's right behind me.
Once we arrive I turn to him, "Take a moment and enjoy the view. You could take a few snaps for memory. I know you were so eager to get a glance of the gorgeous Adelaide's room, so enjoy the moment while it lasts," I pat him on the shoulder and walk in.
