Books on the shelves pages on the ground
It's so quiet but there's memories all around
In a flurry they fill the page
Like stories played on a stage
These memories seem to fill the space
And Life keeps them in her grace
To record and keep the memories alive
Life makes the books and continues to strive
They fill the room so small and dear
The reason Life keeps making books may seem unclear
But we must all look after the memories and never leave Life alone
People get lonely being on there own
These books they hold such meaning
Some hold dust and need some cleaning
Memories old and new all under the covers and spines
The number of books still inclines
To read these books shows you the past
They carry you forward like the sails on a ships mast
Books on the shelves pages on the ground
It's so quiet but there's memories all around.
