Too Deep

You lay there, the water washing away your blocks and it all gets too deep
The memories and the thoughts are coming through, they begin to seep
You feel like a M.I.A soldier you don't know how to get back
Back to where you aren't afraid and scared but fear is something you never lack
The thoughts they flood and you can't help but think
And as you do you're reminded and you begin to shrink
The problem is you like going too deep for your own mind
It reminds you how you can be so blind
Blind to this world and even in your heart
Because you've gone too deep and don't know where to start
Missing In Action you try and fight your way back to the place
But when you come back you're scared, blood mixed with mud on your face
Sure one will have stories to tell and adventures to remember
But those memories are colder then a frosted December
So be careful in those hot waters, in the dark, in the music, or in your sleep
Because like me you might slip, and go too deep.
